Drake’s sixth album ‘Certified Lover Boy’ is not releasing on January 1, 2021, according to DJ Akademiks in a new tweet which has raised confusion among fans about the actual date of the much-anticipated release from the celebrity rapper.

DJ Akademiks said, “Drake reached out to me and confirmed that despite what Odell Beckham Jr said ... January 1st, 2021 is not the release date of 'Certified Lover Boy'. He’ll announce the correct date when the time comes.” On his Instagram post, he said OBJ’s statement was ‘a false alarm’. He posted, “False alarm y’all... #obj playing with our emotions.... . Anyway for now. CLB otw... probably gon drop before WLR.”

 In another tweet, he explained stating, “According to Drake, January 1st 2021 WAS gonna be the date for the release of “Certified Lover Boy” before he got injured... so OBJ probably thought it was still the date.. it’s not tho.” 



 



 


In a previous video, footballer Odell Beckham Junior shared that ‘Certified Lover Boy’ is dropping on 2021, 1st Jan which made fans really excited about getting new music on the first day of a new year. But the new revelations have made fans speculate and come up with dates that can be the possible new release schedule for the album. A fan shared, “Imagine how iconic it would’ve been if it dropped on the new year.”

Another shared a date asking if it is releasing on Jan 21 or 1/23/21. A user commented, “Naw it was dropping that day but OBJ spoiled it.” On DJ Akademiks tweet that he was supposed to release it on 1st Jan before his knee injury, fans have also shared their hilarious responses stating, “LMFAO INJURED ?? bruh this ain’t the NBA”, another said, “This is not the NFL you can drop music on the IR.” A fan asked, “What does him being injured gotta do with anything unless he adding more tracks?” To which, another user replied, “It’s his leg too the dude can write with a blown knee.” 



 



 



 



 



 



 



 



 

‘Certfied Lover Boy’ will release through OVO Sound and Republic Records scheduled for January 2021. The four-time Grammy-winning rapper released ‘Laugh Now Cry Later’ featuring Lil Durk, the lead single from his upcoming album 'Certified Lover Boy' on August 14, 2020.
