It was the winter finale for 'Big Sky', and to say the least, it was a thrilling one. Till now, we've seen the two girls Grace and Danielle being tasered and kidnapped by Ronald Pergman, along with Jerrie. They're taken to some creepy shed, far away, while the detectives Cody (Ryan Phillippe), Cassie Dewell (Kylie Bunbury) and Jenny (Katheryn Winnick) try to unravel the mystery.

However, in the first episode itself, Cody is shot dead by Rick Legarski (John-Carroll Lynch) is in on this murky web too. It's not as if the girls didn't try to escape. We saw Grace (Jade Petty John) trying to escape from Ronald's misery dungeon out into the open. Just as we thought that everything would be okay as she met a good fisherman, who promises to help her, Legarski (John Carroll Lynch) shows up at that same spot in the middle of the woods and shoots him dead.

Legarski then carries Grace off, after shooting her in the leg. He dumps her back in Ronald's creepy truck dungeon, where she almost suffers from an infection. However, in the finale, the girls have been moved from the dungeon, just as Cassie and Jenny burst in on that shed. They had put a tracker on Legarski's truck, but that doesn't seem to have made much difference. Legarski and Ronald are one step ahead. Cassie closes in on Legarski, but it is too late.

Well, it's going to be a while since we see the next episode. 'Big Sky' will return on January 26, Tuesday on ABC, with a new lead, as it has been hinted. In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Carroll-Lynch said, "It gets pretty ugly. It's a bad patch of road we're on. It's not going to smooth out anytime soon. Let's just put it that way. For those three women, they're very close to being erased — in one fashion or another. That's obviously what Cassie and Jimmy are trying to stop and Cody was trying to stop. It's going to get pretty dark. It's a particularly dark show for network [TV]. It's particularly dark for ABC. They were very brave to put it on."

'Big Sky' returns on January 26 on ABC at 10 pm.
