Set against the backdrop of a high-stakes heist, 'Crime 101' is scheduled to release on Friday, February 13. Directed by Bart Layton, the film stars Chris Hemsworth, Halle Berry, and Mark Ruffalo in key roles. While audiences have previously seen Hemsworth and Ruffalo share the screen as superheroes in Marvel's 'Avengers' films, this marks the first time the duo will appear together in dramatically different roles. So, if you can't wait to see them in action on the big screen (like us), here's how you can watch the movie before its release.

'Crime 101' is set to deliver an adrenaline-fueled experience with a special IMAX screening in Los Angeles near LAX on Wednesday, February 11, beginning at 7 pm. The event invites fans to watch the high-stakes crime thriller on the biggest screen possible, ahead of its wider release. Interested viewers can enter to win free tickets by submitting their email address via the link and completing an RSVP form, including whether they plan to bring a guest. Winners will be contacted in the days leading up to the February 11 event, and only those with confirmed RSVPs will be granted admission.

Notably, 'Crime 101' stars Hemsworth as a cunning jewel thief operating along Los Angeles' 101 freeway, pursued by a determined detective played by Ruffalo, with Berry and Barry Keoghan rounding out the cast. Adapted from Don Winslow's novella of the same name, the film evokes classic 1990s crime thrillers and has earned early praise for its gritty style, polished action, and strong performances.

In an interview with Moviefone, Hemsworth described the film as "propulsive," "sophisticated," "relevant," and "thought-provoking," saying, "There's a beautiful momentum in the film, and continuity from the action and the intensity there through the dramatic scenes." He added that director Layton "prioritized the action as the most important, impressive part," but stressed that "the action means nothing if you're not invested in those characters." Hemsworth explained, "Every time we cut to an action scene, right before that, you're invested in the emotional content and then the interplay between the people that are about to collide," concluding, "So, it’s fun."

Speaking about working with Ruffalo on the set of 'Crime 101,' Hemsworth reflected on his past work with the actor. He recalled that while filming 'Thor: Ragnarok,' it was "just improvisation," saying they were a "couple of naughty kids just constantly talking and screwing around," as per RadioTimes. Hemsworth then joked that while director Taika Waititi encouraged improvisation, he often had to tell them, "Guys, shut up, stop it, just behave," adding that a similar dynamic briefly surfaced on 'Crime 101' until director Layton reminded them, "Guys, that's not the characters!"

Ruffalo said he was struck by Hemsworth’s transformation when he walked onto the set of 'Crime 101,' calling him “a totally different person.” He said, "I was just really impressed by that. He walked differently, sounded different. Even his eye color was different." He added, "But it was just exciting to see him do that, because I've always thought he's a great actor, and I want to see him explore a lot of different kinds of things. So he was doing that, and I was like, 'Yeah, man.'"
