Camille Vasquez admits she's a fan of Johnny Depp's music, says she will 'of course' see him again
Johnny Depp's attorney Camille Vasquez is continuing to show her support for the actor beyond the courtroom trial. Vasquez helped him win a $15 million verdict in his defamation trial against his ex-wife Amber Heard. On Wednesday, June 8, the 37-year-old spoke about her famous client and snapped with fans in New York City.
Vasquez was leaving 'Good Morning America' after a post-verdict interview on Wednesday, June 8, when she was asked by reporters if she would see Depp again now that the trial was over. Without hesitation, she answered, "Of course!" Vasquez confirmed that she planned to see the 'Pirates of the Caribbean' actor sometime again. But didn’t exactly mention when. When asked if she was a fan of Johnny’s music ventures, Camille responded, “Yes. Yes, of course, we are!” referencing herself and her fellow trial lawyer.

Meanwhile, Vasquez and her legal partner Benjamin Chew's interview on 'Good Morning America', where they discussed how they managed to win the trial, was not received well by Heard's team. Condemning the lawyers for speaking on the trial victory, a spokesperson for Heard told Newsweek: "It is as unseemly as it is unprofessional that Johnny Depp's legal team has chosen to do a victory lap for setting back decades of how women can be treated in the courtroom. What's next? A movie deal and merchandising?"
Coming to Depp and Vasquez's friendship, the two have developed quite a good friendship given that they have worked together for so many months in the defamation case. They could be often seen sharing hugs and smiles inside and outside of the courtroom. Fans speculated, and social media theories ran wild that the two of them may have become more than just friends. In fact, several TikTok and Twitter users jumped to the conclusion these two are in a relationship based on their interactions in court.
However, a source related to Vasquez told TMZ that there's nothing going on between the two and they are definitely not dating. And, everyone on the legal team got very close to their client both as a professional and personal friendship.
Camille emerged as a point of fascination for many who paid close attention to the trial, as fans pointed out their love for the lawyer (now named partner at her firm) as well as a potential romantic spark between her and Johnny. Reportedly, Vasquez is dating a British guy who works in real estate. And, the couple has been in a serious relationship for several months now.
Earlier Depp appeared on stage on May 30, for the second night in a row with Jeff Beck at the Sheffield date of Beck’s UK tour. Depp was on stage for a total of 20 minutes, returning once more for the encore. Beck introduced Depp as “someone who came knocking on my dressing room door about five years ago and we haven’t stopped laughing since”. “We kept this quiet,” he added, “for obvious reasons”. Depp was reportedly greeted with a standing ovation.
The pair repeated the songs they sang together the night before in Sheffield, John Lennon's 'Isolation,' Jimi Hendrix's 'Little Wing,' Marvin Gaye's 'What's Going On,' and The Beatles' 'A Day In The Life.' Like Depp has been hitting the stage, Camille has started to gain her own mini star status among the people and posing for photos and signing autographs.
