Johnny Depp said he wanted to 'move forward', Amber Heard has a reply to that!
Hollywood star Johnny Depp, who is all around after winning the defamation suit against his ex-wife Amber Heard, 36, posted his first TikTok recently in which he spoke about moving forward after the trial. It featured a montage of his recent music touring with Jeff Beck, with the caption, "To all of my most treasured, loyal and unwavering supporters. We've been everywhere together, we have seen everything together. We have walked the same road together. We did the right thing together, all because you cared. And now, we will all move forward together. You are, as always, my employers and once again I am whittled down to no way to say thank you, other than just by saying thank you. So, thank you." He signed off by saying, "My love & respect, JD."
A spokesperson of Heard responded to the actor’s caption in a statement, saying, "As Johnny Depp says he's 'moving forward,' women's rights are moving backward. The verdict's message to victims of domestic violence is ... be afraid to stand up and speak out."

Many took to Twitter to share their reactions to the issue. On one hand, many users backed Depp with one tweeting, "Surely nobody believed her when she said she was going to take time out for a while. She’s on fishing exercises for money/pity and was merely gaslighting again was my take then lo and behold another statement soon followed about #JohnnyDepp now being on TikTok. So predictable." On the other hand, some users supported Heard as one wrote, "Publicly shame all celebrities who have given Amber no public support. I'm a film lover, but Hollywood must learn that women won't take this anymore. Rape culture & the comfortable cult of misogyny have gone too far. @RealAmberHeard, we have your back."

Depp's first TikTok video
Depp, who has so far gained more than seven million TikTok followers, received one million views on his first clip and more than 420K likes in less than an hour of his posting on June 7. The video, which had the background music set to the Love Joys’ track 'Stranger', began with footage of fans waving and holding banners outside the court in Virginia, where Depp won his defamation case against his former wife Heard.
Depp joined the platform on June 6, 2022, and his bio reads, "Occasional thespian." The actor's followers count went up to a quarter-million by the same evening.
