What to expect from 'The Originals' season 5 episode 7 'God's Gonna Trouble the Water'
The CW spinoff of 'The Vampire Diaries', 'The Originals' is well on its way to the end. This season, the fifth for the series, will be the last for the Joseph Morgan starrer. If you've caught on to the show so far, you know that things are getting really intense. The last episode 'What, Will, I, Have, Left' ended with two deaths — Hayley Marshall and Greta Sienna.
The next episode 'God's Gonna Trouble the Water', will air on Wednesday on the network and from the looks of it, it will definitely be the preparation for a war.
Niklaus Mikaelson has just lost the mother of his only child and his estranged partner Hayley and Elijah, his brother has also turned away from him. Although Hope, his daughter, has been brought over to the Mikaelson's side, it won't suffice to calm him — as we've seen through the last five seasons. Nik always gets his revenge.
Since Greta's dead, Roman, her son, and Antoinette, her daughter are free to go on the path they choose. What remains to be seen is if they will pick up where she left off and go ahead destroy Nik's family.
The synopsis says that Ivy (Shiva Kalaiselvan) reveals some startling news to Klaus (Joseph Morgan) about the dark magic that's been keeping him away from his family.
In the previous season, the five siblings — Nik, Rebekah, Elijah, Kol, and Freya had to go their separate ways thanks to the very powerful dark magic that wanted to take Hope. The siblings managed to break the entity into parts with witchcraft and carried each broken part within themselves through the seven years.
As far as we've seen this season, every time any one of them even comes remotely close, plants start to die and snakes start crawling out of the ground and water turns into blood.
Elijah (Daniel Gillies) turns to some unexpected allies to save Antoinette's (guest star Jaime Murray) life. Danielle Rose Russell, Charles Michael Davis, Riley Voelkel and Steven Krueger also star in the episode. The episode is directed by Carl Seaton directed and written by Bianca Sams and Julie Plec.
As far as fears go, we think Antoinette is the most vulnerable right now. And in 'The Originals', bad things happen to vampires, werewolves, and hybrids if they decide to piss off Klaus. He has always had a way of killing off people like its no big deal. This time, however, even if he does make things bloody, it is perhaps justified considering the situation. It will be interesting to see how things go now that the family has returned to New Orleans and the antagonist is dead.
Episode 7 will air on Wednesday, June 6 at 6:30pm on CW.
