When will 'The Voice' Season 23 Episode 7 air?

The new episode of 'The Voice' Season 23 will premiere on NBC on Monday, March 27, at 8 pm ET. The upcoming episode marks the beginning of the highly anticipated Battle Rounds, where a new wave of aspiring contestants will showcase their talent and battle it out to impress not only their coaches but also the audience. With high stakes and intense competition, viewers can expect an exhilarating episode as the contestants give it their all in pursuit of their dreams.

What to expect from 'The Voice' Season 23 Episode 7?

Viewers can expect a lot of changes in Season 23, including the introduction of the Playoff Pass, which will give four lucky artists a significant advantage as they progress. According to the press release, the all-new Playoff Pass will allow both singers in a battle to advance. The winner of the pass will skip the Knockout Rounds and directly advance to the Playoffs, bringing them one step closer to the Live Performance Shows. Exciting, right?

As always, this season features the classic five-stage format: Blind Auditions, Battle Rounds, Knockouts, Playoffs and Live Performances. With superstar coaches at the helm, the show will also incorporate blocks, steals and saves that can dramatically alter the course of the competition. We saw the coaches selecting their teams based solely on the singers' voices, without seeing them until after they had hit their buzzer, in the Blind Auditions. They also used their power to block other coaches from selecting certain contestants, which added an extra layer of tension and excitement to the show.

In the Battle Rounds, the Coaches will pitch two of their own team members against each other, challenging them to sing the same song together. The singers will have to impress their coach with their performance, hoping to be chosen to advance to the next round. After each Vocal Battle, the coach will have to make a difficult decision and select who moves forward. This season, there will be no Battle Advisors. Instead, Reba McEntire will serve as a Mega Mentor to all Coaches, providing guidance and support throughout the competition. Additionally, each Coach will have one 'Playoff Pass' and one 'Steal' available during this round. Altogether seven singers per team will advance, with six competing in the Knockouts and one Playoff Pass singer.

What happened in 'The Voice' Season 23 Episode 6?

The latest installment of the show saw the conclusion of the Blind Auditions, and it did not disappoint. The episode was filled to the brim with unparalleled talent, leaving the coaches spoilt for choice as they finalized their teams with some of the most remarkable voices in the competition.

Nariyella kicked off the blind auditions with an awe-inspiring performance that made all four judges turn their chairs. Chance and Kelly were quick to turn for the powerhouse, with Chance even giving her a standing ovation. While Blake joked about his wife's preference for diamonds over crystals, Niall, Chance, Kelly, and Blake all made their best pitches to win Nariyella over. Kelly and Niall pointed out their experience in singing competitions, while Chance humorously claimed to be the only one who knew her song, only to be proven wrong by Kelly belting it out herself. Despite Kelly's impressive pipes, Nariyella ultimately chose Chance as her coach.

Next came Grace West. Coming from Nashville, 19-year-old Grace is a dog walker with a publishing contract as a songwriter. She auditioned with ‘Maybe It Was Memphis’ and as soon as she hit the chorus, Blake turned for her. Niall quickly joined in the fight for Grace, with the self-proclaimed father-son duo now fighting for the last team member ever to join Team Blake, making it the strongest team he's ever had.

Michael, a father who is chasing his dream to provide for his daughter, auditioned to propel his career forward. Despite the pressure of only two spots left, he wasn't able to convince any coach to turn around. Niall and Chance gave him advice for next time.

Katie Beth, a graduate school student from a small town in Tennessee, auditioned to pursue her dream of being a full-time musician. She sang Justin Bieber's hit ‘Ghost’ and both Kelly and Niall turned for her. She ultimately chose Kelly as her coach, becoming the last member to join Team Kelly this season.

Dasha, a Russian native now living in LA, auditioned with ‘I Can't Stand The Rain’ to secure the last spot on 'The Voice'. Despite a powerful performance, she wasn't able to impress Niall, who told her to work on the softer parts of her voice. Blake also gave her some feedback, saying he heard ‘about five singers’ in her performance.

Talia Smith, an intel analyst and Army recruiter, met her husband in the Army and recently experienced a miscarriage. Despite this, she persevered and took the stage to sing a soulful rendition of "Don't You Worry 'Bout A Thing." Niall was the only one to turn for her, making her the last member of Team Niall and the final contestant to join this season.
