VALLARTA, MEXICO: 'Bachelor in Paradise' always has more ground to cover than its more serious counterparts, 'The Bachelorette' and 'The Bachelor', thanks to its entire roster of Bachelor Nation alums seeking love. Every season of 'BiP' has a new cast member towards the middle, and this year's additions look like they'll add some extra juicy drama to the mix.

When compared to the other spin-offs in the Bachelor Universe, 'Bachelor in Paradise' is easily the most chaotic. There's nothing like a beach full of singles and a Boom-Boom room to spark some drama. Although the season begins with over twenty competitors, by the end of the season, more than twice that number had been on the show, much to the surprise of the original cast members. There's even a twist in the middle of the season that might have been lifted straight from 'Love Island', but more on that in a minute.

What happened on ‘Bachelor in Paradise’ 2022 Episode 5?

Due to the women's control of the roses in Week 3, the men were in jeopardy of being eliminated in the next week's ceremony. However, because it does not take place in Episode 5, the only eliminations in this episode are voluntary.

Salley Carson was the first newcomer to arrive at the beach. Previous episodes revealed that Salley had canceled Clayton's season of 'The Bachelor' before the limos ever got to the estate because she still had feelings for her ex-fiancé. Wells Adams, a bartender in Paradise, then revealed that Salley's bag had arrived before she did because she had canceled her flight after talking to her ex-boyfriend for four hours at the airport. It was clear Salley didn't want to be on Paradise as she admitted to host, Jesse Palmer, that she had missed not one but THREE flights to Mexico, and had failed to even arrive at the airport on two of those occasions.

Everyone on the beach knew that Salley was avoiding the show because of her ex-fiancé, but she claimed that "work stuff came up, and my job comes first..." The other ladies in Paradise, especially new best friends Shanae and Genevieve, took exception to this and confronted her, asking about her ex. Salley spent an emotional hour on the beach before turning off her mike and leaving her bag behind once again.

"She did this on her Bachelor season and did it again on Paradise," revealed one contestant. Someone else noted, "Salley’s suitcase lasted a lot longer than she did."

A member of the crew finally removed Salley's bag from the beach. After Michael said, "Salley’s suitcase was the saddest suitcase I’ve ever seen on the beach," the other participants dumped one out and waved farewell to Suitcase Salley. "You could tell it wanted to stay, but you know, fate and love had different plans." However, Episode 5 saw more than just Salley's arrival (or departure) from the show.

'Bachelorette' season alum Peter Izzo, from Michelle Young's journey, was also in attendance. Calling Peter "The Pizzapreneur" or "The Pizza King" may help you recall his name if you can't quite place it. Peter's Pizzeria is a Florida pizza franchise he owns. He never stops harping on about pizza.

Following a pleasant talk on the beach, newcomer Pizza Peter asked Brittany Galvin out on a date in the hopes that she would become his Pizza Queen. Even though the two spent the day on a yacht, swimming and sipping champagne, it wasn't enough to make Brittany feel at ease. She blocked Peter's attempted kiss after listening to him speak about pizza and himself all day. Peter, in turn, convinced himself that she was merely there to become an Instagram model. Brittany returned to the beach after the date and began kissing Andrew.

Thankfully, Jacob and Jill's second date in the episode went much better. They met with a shaman and went to a full-moon ritual where they stripped naked, linked with crystals, meditated, and howled at the moon like wolves. It was a nice and weird date for a cute and quirky couple, and Jacob and Jill are still going strong now that Kira has been shut down.

Towards the end of Episode 5, a member from Season 8 made their way into the picture. Kira came back to the beach in an apparent attempt to woo away Jill's boyfriend once more. Kira sat down on a daybed with Jacob after he rejected her "unfinished business" suggestion. Desperate ex-Romeo (who was not going to get a rose from anyone at the next rose ceremony and was just going to go home soon anyway) caught up to Kira as she was leaving the beach. Kira, who had originally come to Paradise to win back Jacob, shifted her attention to Romeo, kissed him passionately, and then requested him to accompany her out of paradise. He nodded, and they quickly left.

When will 'Bachelor in Paradise' 2022 Episode 6 be out?

'Bachelor in Paradise' Season 8 is scheduled to premiere on Monday, October 17 at 8.00 pm ET/PT. The synopsis for the episode reads: "The tropical heat is on as 12 men find themselves vying for only seven roses. While some beachy bros do everything they can to woo the women who’ve caught their eye, others may not make it to the rose ceremony at all; and one will find an unexpected spark in a new arrival. Once the sand has settled and the newly formed couples are feeling their love bloom, Jesse Palmer arrives to drop a bombshell announcement that divides the beach like never before. Will these connections be able to weather the storm?"

What to expect on 'Bachelor in Paradise' 2022 Episode 6?

Rose lovers, the hotties have arrived at 'Bachelor in Paradise'. For the first time in the franchise's run, Paradise is giving the concept a 'Love Island'-style twist by bringing in five new ladies to stir some love turmoil. The female contestants — Florence from 'The Bachelor Australia', Jessenia from Matt's season of 'The Bachelor', and Eliza, Kate, and Sarah from Clayton's season — explore their new lodgings, interact with the boys, and otherwise make themselves at home on the beach in an exclusive clip from Tuesday's show. And the guys adore it. "Five new girls come in, fresh off a plane, fresh out of a hotel," Johnny mumbles. "They have that new beach Paradise smell."

Meanwhile, Paradise's current female cast has been sent to a hotel to mope and fret about what their guys are up to. "I hope they miss us at least a little bit," Jill grumbles. She shouldn't expect it. Jacob appears to have a crush on Kate, while Logan is seen flirting with Florence, and Rodney is seen flirting with Eliza. Serene is the only lady who doesn't appear bothered, and for good reason: it would take a lot to turn Brandon's mind. That boy is really captivated.

'Bachelor in Paradise' airs on ABC on Mondays and Tuesdays at 8 pm.
