Wendy Williams does NOT wish to watch Sherri Shepherd's new talk show. Here's why
Wendy Williams’s talk show that aired in 2008 sadly came to an end in 2022 after Williams was forced to take a break owing to a series of health issues. It was then revealed in February that 'The Wendy Williams Show' would be canceled, and Sherri Shepherd would take over the beloved chat show timeslot with her own talk show. But our beloved Williams is stern on her decision that she won’t be a viewer of Shepherd’s show.
Wendy Williams told Fat Joe during a sit-down interview that while she misses being on 'The Wendy Williams Show', she won't be watching Shepherd's show any time soon. "I wish I was there," she told the rapper during the interview. “I wish I was there. I wish I was there right now to talk about it,” adding, “I’m glad I’m able to talk about when I come back, you know?” Moreover, Williams didn't hesitate when asked if she meant a totally new series or if she planned to return to her former show. "I'm coming to 'The Wendy Williams Show', absolutely. Absolutely," she stated.

Williams won’t be watching Shepherd's talk show
Williams openly said that she won’t be watching Sherri Shepherd’s show that will be replacing her own talk show. She said, “I won’t be watching her [Sherri Shepherd] because I know what she’ll be doing and that’s not really my thing … you know what I’m saying? But I love, I love being on my own show. And I love that people love to watch it, you know, all the time.”
Williams is pretty sure that she will come back to her show. She even told a photographer on being asked about her return, “Of course! 'The Wendy Williams Show' lives forever!”
What happened to Williams?
Wendy Williams has spoken a lot about her chronic health difficulties with her viewers throughout the years. Graves' illness and hyperthyroidism, which she was diagnosed with 19 years ago, are two of her many health problems. She also struggled with sobriety after her divorce from her ex-husband Kevin Hunter, which led to her entering rehab in 2019. Wendy was diagnosed with Covid in 2021 and was brought to the hospital for "psychiatric services."
Is Williams OK now?
On November 8, 2021, Williams updated fans about her health on Instagram. She said, "As everyone knows, my health has been a hot topic. I’m making progress but it’s just one of those things that’s taking longer than we expected," adding, "I’m a woman of a certain age, and I know enough to listen to my doctors and will return to my purple chair as soon as we all agree I’m ready.” She thanked the staff and fans for praying for her and sending in positive “comments.” She said, “You are everything to me,” addressing her fans.
