Wendy Williams, who has been away from the screens since July 2021 due to severe health conditions, is recovering slowly. For the past few years, Williams has been suffering from several health issues including lymphedema, Graves' disease, and was also hospitalized for a psychological evaluation in September 2021. She has also been showing early signs of dementia, as a result of which she was confined to a wheelchair.

However, it has now been reported that the American host-actress no longer needs a wheelchair and will soon be well enough to return to hosting TV shows. Currently surrounded by her family in Florida, Williams is determined to move back to New York City and return to TV after her daytime talk show, 'The Wendy Williams Show', was canceled.

According to a report by The Sun, living in Florida surrounded by her loved ones coupled with some important lifestyle changes has done wonders for Wendy’s health. An insider told the publication, “She looks good! She isn’t fully back, but she seems like 80% of her old self. In another couple of months, and I bet she's totally back."

The host has made some lifestyle adjustments in her recovery that have helped her along the way, the insider claimed. “Wendy has vowed not to drink and she is eating much healthier these days and it shows, her legs aren’t nearly as swollen,” the source added. The source said not only that, but Wendy is wheelchair free, which is great news as the host has been using the wheelchair for quite some time.

The source added, “She is planning her next move. She won't be in Florida much longer; she is coming back to New York, and soon.” The report also says that Wendy should not be counted out, adding the host wants to get back on TV and wants to get her old team together. “Wendy is making plans to make a big comeback,” the source insisted.

Despite hearing some good news for Wendy, it will still be hard for the American host as there is a lot going on in her life besides her illness. Her talk show, 'The Wendy Williams Show', was canceled and the host Sherri Shepherd, who was the guest host for the show when Wendy was away, is starting a new show, 'The Sherri Show', replacing Wendy's show.

Besides this, the host also is in a contentious battle to regain access to millions of dollars in her accounts with Wells Fargo after being frozen out of her accounts last month. The bank had also requested for a guardianship hearing to be held for Wendy before the battle for access to her accounts was placed under seal, and now her 21-year-old son Kevin Hunter Jr, holds a power of attorney over her.
