'Out with old': Wendy Williams plans to sell all her NYC home furniture before her big move to LA
NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Wendy Williams is leaving no stone (or furniture) unturned ahead of her big flight to the west coast. The New York City resident is reportedly making all the necessary inquiries to sell the furniture of her $3 million NYC apartment, including the iconic purple chair that made multiple appearances during the ‘At Home’ series of FOX Chat show ‘The Wendy Williams Show’ in 2020 due to the disruption of shooting for the Covid pandemic.
It has been reported that the former queen of daytime TV is planning to move to Los Angeles from New York City in early April. Williams, who starred in the movie adaptation of Steve Harvey’s book, ‘Act Like a Lady, Think Like a Man’, is reportedly planning to move to the western city after losing her eponymous show in 2022 owing to her health-related problems.

According to a source, "Wendy has been calling people asking them to help sell all her stuff,” before adding, "She is asking for recommendations on places that can sell furniture for you," reported The Sun.
Williams’s representative Shawn Zanotti informed, “Wendy is getting rid of items for spring cleaning, this is what people do this time of year” and added, “It's a new chapter for Wendy and she wants new things. This is a common gesture people do and Wendy is no different... it is out with old and in with the new,” reported Daily Mail.
'She wants to do new projects'
Williams divulged her plans to move to LA with her close friends, who gave a detailed description of the same on March 28, during a podcast episode of ‘Naughty But Nice’ where Rob Shuter and entertainment writer Delaina Dixon talked about a March 17 meeting with Williams. Shuter said, "We bumped into Wendy a little over a week ago and we asked her about the podcast, you were there. She said it's over, and she's going to LA in three weeks,” before adding, "She told us she's going to start a new TV show and that she didn't want to do podcasting.” Delania or Miss D said to that, “She wants to do new projects” before supporting Shuter’s claim, "She definitely is trying to move to Los Angeles. She wants to be there, basically within the next two to three weeks and she wants to get back on television. That's where she was comfortable.”
Why was Williams’ show canceled?
Wendy Williams’s health has deteriorated since 2017, when she fainted during her show’s Halloween special episode. Since then, the daytime legend has been diagnosed with Graves disease and lymphedema, which also caused the delay in the launch of the 12th season in 2021. She was also reportedly accused of alcohol use, which led her to seek rehabilitation in a Malibu facility.
