Why did Tarek and Heather name their son Tristan Jay El Moussa?
Tarek and Heather have chosen the name Tristan because it has sentimental value for them. The couple has confessed on Instagram that "Tarek was supposed to be named Tristan, and his parents ended up naming him Tarek." It's such a sweet tribute.
Even his middle name was not chosen on a whim. The 'Selling Sunset' star has shared the inspiration behind their son's middle moniker "My dad’s middle name is Jay. So it’s four generations of the middle name Jay." The couple has decided to carry on a family tradition by using the middle name 'Jay' and it's a very heartwarming gesture.
When was Tristan Jay El Moussa born?
The couple welcomed Tristan Jay El Moussa to the world at 6:55 am on January 31. He weighed 7 lbs and 7oz. After exchanging vows in October 2021, Tarek and Heather started trying to have a child and openly discussed their IVF struggle with their followers. They announced their pregnancy in July 2022 and then held a gender reveal party. Heather had some complications before Tristain was born as she revealed on Instagram, "But before our angel was born, we had some scary moments leading up to him entering the world.
"We were at my final doctor appointment, and our Dr rushed us to the hospital to get monitored because Tristan‘s movements had slowed down," she said. The former Playboy model was given "half a pill called Cytotec... to start the procedure" because her water could not break "on its own." And though Heather was told she'd have two to three hours of pushing, their son had another plan.
Heather revealed in the post that "Tristan’s heart rate was dropping very low every time I’d push and was staying low. We had to get him out fast, or else we would have to do an emergency C-section." The doctor told Heather to give one big push, and at last, Tristan was born.
