'Waste of time': Beyonce fans fume after O2 apologizes as crazy rush for tickets overwhelms platform
LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM: After encountering "huge demand," O2 has apologized to Beyonce fans who experienced difficulties purchasing tickets for the singer's United Kingdom tour dates. On Thursday, February 1, pre-sale tickets for O2 customers went online via the O2 Priority app and website. However, several Beyonce fans reported troubles during the purchasing process.
They resorted to social media to vent their anger after the ticket-booking platform appeared to thwart their best efforts to grab tickets. Subsequently, O2 apologized to its customers for the inconvenience. The statement read, “We apologize to any customers who are experiencing difficulties trying to get Beyonce tickets through our Priority platform today. We’re seeing huge demand and we’re doing everything we can to help ensure all our customers can get through.”

'A waste of everyone's time'
Nevertheless, disgruntled fans slammed the platform over the disappointment. One person wrote on Twitter, “This is so disappointing (and incredibly predictable). I don't know anyone who even got into the app in the first place! Such a waste of everyone's time hitting refresh for more than 1 hour, it's supposed to be a perk, not a hassle. What are you doing to stop this from happening again?”

“When being taken through to buy the tickets you took me back to this page instead!! It’s happened more than once on my phone. Please fix this bug!! The tickets I was after are most likely gone now,” another added. Someone noted, “You really need to come better than that. neither the app nor the website was working before the presale had even started. and tickets are selling to whom? bots and scalpers???” “Do ur staff not work? Presale was over an hour ago and your site and app are still down,” another fumed. “Same thing happened with the Peter Kay tickets so it’s gonna keep on happening with any priority tickets,” someone else remarked.
