'Volition': Meet Adrian Glynn McMorran, Magda Apanowicz and rest of the cast of the supernatural thriller
When a lifelong clairvoyant catches a glimpse of his own murder, he sets out to do everything he can to find a way to cheat fate. That's easier said than done, however, as piecing the future together is a very tricky challenge, especially when his murderers are out for his blood. With the film about to release on VOD, we take a look at the cast of the film just in time for its online debut.
Adrian Glynn McMorran
Adrian Glynn McMorran plays James, a clairvoyant whose abilities first manifested when he predicted his mother's death in a car accident. McMorran is a Canadian actor who has appeared on shows like 'Arrow,' 'Men in Trees' and 'Supernatural'. He has also performed in the live-action 'Woody Woodpecker' film. Adrian was raised in Vancouver, Canada, and received his BA in Theatre from the University of British Columbia and studied acting at New York's Atlantic Theatre School.
He is also a singer-songwriter, under the name of "Adrian Glynn" and has toured Canada and Europe — both as a solo act and as a member of the folk group 'The Fugitives'. His first full-length album, 'Bruise,' won him a nomination for Emerging Artist of the Year at the Canadian Independent Music Awards.
Magda Apanowicz
Magda Apanowicz plays Angela, a woman rescued by James during the course of the movie, and whom James enters into a relationship with after getting a glimpse of their future. She's been interested in a career in acting since the early age of 10. She began her career at 17 making appearances on shows like 'Jeremiah' and 'John Doe', and has since appeared on 'Kyle XY,' 'You,' 'Continuum' and 'The Green Inferno.'
John Cassini
John Cassini plays Ray, a gangster who works with James and knows how James' abilities work. Ray knows exactly how to make the most of James' abilities in order to make major thefts, though it tends to put James' life in serious danger. John Cassini is a Canadian actor known for his roles in 'Blackstone,' 'Continuum' and 'Robson Arms.'
John Cassini's first interest in acting began at an early age, where he played a blind boy in a short film, but he made a diversion into acting. He is a former track athlete, and football star, though it is ironically his career in athletics that brought him back into acting. After receiving a scholarship to Simon Fraser University in Vancouver, BC, the university's theater program brough Cassini's passion for acting right back into focus. His first big Hollywood film, 'Alive', brought him to LA, and he has never once looked back since.
'Volition' releases on VOD on July 10.
