Spoiler alert: Major plot twists from ‘The Drama’ are discussed below.

Zendaya and Robert Pattinson's upcoming A24 black-satire movie 'The Drama' is set for a theatrical release on Friday. Written and directed by Kristoffer Borgli of 'Dream Scenario' fame, the upcoming movie has been certified with an R rating by the Motion Picture Association for language, s*xual content, and some violence. The plot of the movie follows Emma, played by Zendaya, who spills a terrible secret during a drunken game with her friends, which soon leads her fiancé, played by Pattinson, to second-guess his decision to marry her. However, the fans want to know whether they should stay after the movie ends for post-credit scenes.

Based on early screenings in New York City, it can be confirmed that 'The Drama' does not have a traditional post-credits scene, and audiences do not have to stay in the theatre after the movie ends. As reported, the movie's final scene takes place in a diner between Emma and Charlie. Given the film's R rating, it is advisable that audience members be 17 or older. The reason behind the R Rating is that the movie features extremely sensitive subject matter related to a school shootout, and also includes multiple flashbacks that refer to physical and verbal violence.

Much of the plot of 'The Drama' takes place in the week leading up to Emma and Charlie's wedding. One night, while she was drunk on wine, Emma made the disturbing confession that at the age of 15, she was mercilessly bullied both verbally and physically by the other children in her class, and as a result, she had planned a school shooting. However, just as Emma was about to execute her attack, another mass shootout took place at the nearby shopping mall and claimed the life of another student. Soon after this, Emma was welcomed back by her classmates, and she even joined a gun violence prevention group, thus entering a new chapter in her life. Despite the past being distant, Charlie soon starts wondering whether he is right to marry someone who could even conceive of committing something as horrible as a school shootout.

The character of Emma is complex and nuanced, which could blur the lines between good and bad. It is further revealed by her friend Rachel that Emma had previously locked a developmentally disabled child in a closet, leading to a search and rescue operation. The movie frequently highlights Emma practicing shooting, walking indoors with a rifle, and filming a suicide manifesto video, during the course of which she uses extreme language against her classmates.
