'Love you, miss you': Vin Diesel remembers late 'Fast & Furious' co-star Paul Walker on 9th death anniversary
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Vin Diesel remembered Paul Walker in a poignant tribute nine years after his death. The Hollywood duo worked together on five consecutive films of the 'Fast and Furious' franchise before Paul died in a major car crash on November 30, 2013, aged 40. The late star was at the pinnacle of his fame when he lost his life in the fatal accident in Santa Clarita, California.
The Porsche that Walker was riding in, along with his pal Roger Rodas, hit a concrete post and burst into flames. Both men died in the fiery crash. Diesel took to Instagram on the night before the ninth anniversary of Walker's death and shared a throwback photo of the co-stars on Tuesday, November 29. "Nine years… love you and miss you," the 'Riddick' star, 55, captioned the photo.

Walker was in the middle of filming 'Fast 7' when he died, and so his brothers Caleb and Cody offered to stand in for him for the remainder of the production and help the franchise write off his character. The star's face was later digitally superimposed onto their bodies. Speaking to TMZ last year, Cody gushed about how Diesel has continued to honor his late brother. "I think Vin and the whole family have done a good job tastefully letting the character ride off into the sunset," he told the outlet. "I think Paul would get a real kick out of where it's gone. It's gotten so crazy. It's a wild, wild ride at this point," he added.
Cody added, "I can't speculate what he would think, I just know that Vin always takes a very serious approach to keeping Paul's legacy in mind and has always done a really nice job paying tribute to his character. They worked together and were brothers for years. They were all so young when this thing first started."

That said, Diesel isn't the only 'Fast and Furious' star mourning Walker. Jordana Brewster recently opened up about her "forever" connection to the tragic star. The 42-year-old actress told People how she still grieves for her late costar, who played her onscreen husband in the action movie franchise.
"I think when someone passes away that has a huge impact on your life and has had a huge impact, frankly, on so many people's lives," Brewster said of Walker, her grief "goes in waves where it's super visceral at times, and it's like it's unimaginable that that person's not with us anymore." She added, "It just gets very intense, and then sometimes it's less intense. But it just comes in waves, regardless of whether it's that person's birthday or not."
