Vin Diesel fat shamed for dad bod at family vacation in Italy: 'Fat and the furious'

Vin Diesel might be in vacation mode but not commentators who mocked and trolled him for his dad bod. 

As he stood shirtless on a yacht in Portofino, Italy, the 'Fast & Furious 9' star was spotted by the paparazzi relaxing and chilling but that is not what was happening on social media. Many people on Twitter had taken to the site to criticize his dad bod, even shaming him, after the unflattering photos of him started doing the rounds online.

Diesel was pictured wearing a black bathing suit and sunglasses for the outing as he continued to scroll on his phone. As per the latest reports, Diesel was joined by his longtime girlfriend, Paloma Jiménez, and their three children - 13-year-old Hania, 11-year-old Vincent, and 6-year-old Pauline.

But on social media, there were many users who took a jab at his changes to his body. "A great day for fat guys around the world now that Vin Diesel has joined our ranks," one wrote. Another user criticised him, "Those Vin Diesel pics tuff to look at. Man fat now"

Another user advised him, "Shirtless Vin Diesel suns himself on luxury yacht in Italy .... Pot GUt Vin Falling apart now, looks bad ! Better get back to the gym and get into shape ! May end up like Russel Crow fat as a side of a house !"

His supporters, however, pointed out the disparity when people fat shame female celebrities and male celebrities. "Fat Shaming Lizzo is bad. Also: calling Vin Diesel "Fat And Furious" is too."

At the same time, another supporter of his said, "DAD BOD LEVEL 2! I hope he is enjoying all the food and had a great summer before he has to go back to diets and the gym." Yet another added along similar lines, "Good for him! He can muscle up anytime he wants." One more added, "Yes, Vin has earned the right the eat whatever.. he works hard and needs to enjoy the fruit of his labor!!!"

This is not the first time that Diesel's body was under speculation. In 2015, he was spotted on a Miami balcony with a 'dad bod'. “It is amazing the response from the journalists who I have been talking to for the last two days in New York,” Diesel said via Instagram during the news cycle around the pics. “Today one wanted to see the dad bod. Haha. I am wondering if I should show the picture… Body shaming is always wrong! What do you think?”

The 'Guardians of the Galaxy' star was recently spotted in Venice, Italy to attend the Dolce & Gabbana three-day fashion show alongside stars including Jennifer Lopez, Kourtney Kardashian, Travis Barker and Vanessa Bryant. “Venice was filled with so many magical moments, ones that I hope to share with you,” he captioned a post from his visit. “For now, I have selected two of those moments that bookend what some will call the best show of the year! Saying hello to my New York brother @diddy at the beginning, and saying farewell to my Italian brother “lil Dom” haha, at the end.”
