Heartbreaking video of wrestler Jay Briscoe dancing with daughter emerges after death in car crash at 38
SAN FRANCISCO, CALIFORNIA: An old video of legendary Ring of Honor star Jay Briscoe, who died at the age of 38 in a reported car crash on Tuesday, January 17, dancing with his daughter is making many emotional. The heartbreaking video shows Briscoe helping his daughter practice her cheer routine from home during the pandemic in 2020 while wearing a bow in his hair.
Many retweeted the video from ROH with one writing, "What a dad! My heart breaks at the thought his wife and daughter will no longer see Jay. RIP Jay Briscoe." Another wrote, "The hardest I've been hit with news of someones passing. RIP Jay Briscoe. One of my favorite tag team wrestlers taken way to early. Prayers to his daughter and everyone involved. I'm devastated."
According to Daily Star, Briscoe's daughter was also in the car when the crash happened at 16523 Laurel Rd, just minutes from their home. WMDT reported that the collision left two dead. No other details were given about the other person who passed away. Following the crash news, Twitter got filled with condolences. Maria Kanellis, a professional wrestler, wrote, "I am incredibly sad and heartbroken over the loss of Jay Briscoe. Words can not describe the kindness that he and his family has shown mine. Jay was one of the toughest men I have ever met but he had a way of making everyone feel special that got to work with him."
She continued by saying, "My condolences go to his family and friends. This loss is too much. Jay was a pillar in the wrestling community as he was the definition of a locker room leader and good human being. Thank you for the memories and your friendship. You will be missed."
