'Vida' Season 3 Episode 2 will pick right where we left Lyn (Melissa Barrera) and her sister Emma (Mishel Prada) in the show. Eddy (Ser Anzoategui) tries to leave a letter at Emma's doorstep to reveal to the sisters that their father who they had all presumed to be dead is still alive and well. She had for the longest time considered keeping it from Lyn and Emma, but realizes that it wouldn't be right to do so. Eddy might have been Vida's wife while she was alive, however, even Eddy wasn't aware that Vida wasn't divorced from her husband.

In episode 2, Emma will face Lyn with the letter that Eddy had written them. In the trailer of the show, we had seen how Lyn wants her father to be a part of her life, but at the same time, Emma doesn't want to let some dead beat man be a part of their life and so she tries not to be affected by the news. This makes us wonder if the sisters who had stayed united through everything else will finally find themselves unable to deal with the differences.

Other than the news of their father, Lyn and Emma also have their fair set of problems to face as well. For one, their bar Vida is finally doing well and has become a popular spot, however, the locals do not like the sisters or the bar that they have opened. The local Mexican population is hence putting up a fight by raising slogans right opposite Vida, calling attention to the fact that they are against gentrification. How Lyn and Emma plan to resolve this situation is something that we would see.

There is also the conflict of Emma's relationship with Nico whose ex-girlfriend is trying to ruin what Nico and Emma have. Nico who works behind the bar at Vida seems convinced that what she has with Emma is more important, however, the constant attention from her ex-girlfriend might throw a wrench in Emma and Nico's relationship.

Lyn's love life is no better either. Her boyfriend is an elite Mexican whose friend and family speaks the language of their native fluently. However, as a second-generation Mexican who can hardly speak Spanish, Lyn faces a lot of judgment when she meets her boyfriend's mother and friends for the first time. Initially, this affects her because she has never been accepted anywhere. People who are not Mexicans associate her with Mexicans and Mexicans themselves do not find anything in common with her. How will she face this kind of judgment in the future now that she has told her boyfriend that they can be exclusive?

'Vida' Season 3 episodes will air on Starz on Sundays.
