Jake Paul was declared the winner with a split decision. Woodley, who is a former UFC champion, lost the first few rounds before knocking out his opponent in the fourth.
However, Jake quickly recovered and gained an advantage over the renowned MMA fighter in the last two rounds. Both Jake and Woodley trended heavily over the weekend as social media users claimed that the latter got robbed of the match. While a few others stated that Woodley was never scripted to win this match and that boxing was glorified. The 39-year-old boxer is a two-time All-American and Big 12 Conference champion. He kick-started his boxing career in 2006 but got noticed when he won against Steve Schneider in a TKO match in 2009. He won the world championship in 2016 after defeating former champ Robbie Lawler.
