ATLANTA, GEORGIA: Tyrese Gibson's fans were quick to notice the actor's discomfort after his girlfriend Zelie Timothy revealed her initial crush on one of his co-stars during an Instagram Live session. The pair recently went live on the social media app to talk about their ongoing romance. However, things went detour when Gibson's on-and-off girlfriend made the shocking confession which left his fans calling her "mean" and "disrespectful."

During a Q&A session on Instagram, the couple was asked how they had met. The pair said that Gibson slid into Timothy's direct messages. Things went south from there as Timothy later revealed that she wasn't interested in the 44-year-old actor at first and was more into his 'Fast and Furious' co-star Paul Walker. "My type was actually Paul Walker. Rest in peace," she remarked while caressing Gibson. "But [Tyrese] wasn't my type at all. And my type is not 'white.' I'm just saying I was more interested in Paul."

'So you wanted the homie?'

Hearing those words, Gibson looked annoyed as he told her, "Don't touch me." Clearly missing the clue, Timothy continued speaking: "Even when I met [Tyrese], I was like, 'Eh, he's kind of old.' I just like his smile. It's pretty cool. His personality ... His personality was OK but he didn't understand the Instagram model thing. He would always talk down on Instagram models." 

This is when Gibson lost his calm and remarked on his girlfriend's attraction to Walker. "This just went really bad really fast. So you wanted the homie? You didn't want me." To which Timothy responded, "I never said I wanted the homie, I just said he was cuter." She went on to justify her confession, "You know all this already. I wasn't your type either. So relax. And, yeah, so now we're here, and it's an actual, somewhat of a love story, which is crazy." The live session was soon concluded with Gibson declaring, "I'm done." 

There is 'a difference between being honest and disrespect'

Timothy soon fell victim to netizens criticizing her move with many calling her "mean" and "disrespectful" towards her boyfriend in the comments. "She does not respect that man. It's a difference between being honest and disrespect..," said a user on Twitter, adding, "If he do her dirty after this I don't even blame him cuz that's low." A comment read on the video, "Bro was soooooo embarrassssed and honestly- I was embarrassed for him as well. Smh she wild." A third comment said, "New this crazy. She doesn't like him a single bit, she just kept going too. Sheeesh." An online suggested the ‘Baby Boy’ actor to leave his girlfriend, "@Tyrese seeing all these red flags and still want to stay. And ain't no way God sent her to you. I pray you stop wasting your time."
