DOING A LEBRON: Tristan Thompson trolled for ejecting fan after Khloe Kardashian jibe

The incident on Sunday, involving Tristan Thompson, comes just 4 days after LeBron James had two fans removed during a game on November 24

Tristan Thompson was slammed on social media after he had a fan removed from a basketball game in Memphis on Sunday, November 28, after being he allegedly heckled the player about the Kardashians. Fan conduct has come under scrutiny recently thanks to the LeBron James incident during the Lakers vs Pacers game in Indiana on November 24.

Thompson, 30, was visibly perturbed when he pointed out a courtside fan to game officials in a video obtained by TMZ of Sunday's game between the Sacramento Kings and Memphis Grizzlies. Stadium staff, Grizzlies personnel, and NBA security subsequently stopped the game and escorted the fan out of the venue, who raised a glass to the crowd as he was being removed. As mentioned before, this comes just four days after LeBron James had two fans removed for "violating the NBA Fan Code of Conduct" during a game against the Indiana Pacers at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis.

While it's unclear what the fan said to Thompson exactly, Grizzlies beat writer Drew Hill, of the Daily Memphian, tweeted that it had something to do with the Kardashians. "Per multiple people around the fan that was thrown out of the Grizzlies game tonight, he was tossed because he was making comments about the Kardashian family in the direction of Tristan Thompson," Hill tweeted. It's worth noting that the Kings' Power Forward shares three-year-old daughter True with ex-girlfriend Khloe Kardashian.

Interim Kings coach Alvin Gentry addressed the heckling in a press conference following his team's 128-101 loss to the Grizzlies. However, he did not confirm the subject of the commentary. "I think [when] you pay for a ticket you've got a right to boo guys, you've got a right to cheer for your team … but inappropriate things should never be what anyone should say," Gentry insisted. "I don't think it needs to be talked about or anything, but obviously, it's not anything that I'm going to tolerate people saying to my players, I know that, not without intervening and asking them to be removed," he added.

However, the fan ejection did not sit well with many on social media. "I was at that game. Initially, the fans were simply warned, but the Sacramento coach, Alvin Gentry, insisted they get the boot. Now we all know Tristan Thompson is soft and sensitive. He looks as ridiculous as Szechuan James," one tweeted.

"I know you know what’s going to happen next, but for those two or three who don’t: there’s a contest on to see who gets ejected because it amounts to instant coverage. You’ve just declared open season on annoying the shit out of NBA players," another wrote. "Very fragile egos...rejecting people for 'words'. Pathetic. He knows damn well that if he wasn't a rich basketball pro - he'd have never gotten near her," another commented.

Thompson and Khloe Kardashian have been in an off-and-on relationship since 2016 and are said to have parted ways in June after he was caught cheating on her multiple times. Sources told OK! Magazine that Thompson had been "begging Khloe to take him back" and that he's been on his "best behavior" to prove to her that she has his support with daughter True. "Tristan is around way more than before — he's doing all the classes with True, doing the family dinners, and is a very present dad. He's 100% co-parenting and is there for everything," the source added.
