Travis Scott has been super busy in 2020 but not with his music. He was busy cracking deals with top global brands like McDonald's, Nike and Ps5 to rake in the moolah. However, he took care of his fans as well as he did drop a few singles like ‘The Scotts’, ‘Highest in the Room’, ‘Franchise’ and ‘The Plan’ for ‘Tenet’ in 2020. The big news in terms of music came when the rapper first teased his next album titled ‘Utopia’ in July this year but without a release date.

The 29-year-old hip-hop star had shared a picture on his official Instagram account in July where he was dressed in a sharp all-white outfit with a little blurred backdrop of what looked like a different planet. He simply captioned the pic as “Utopia”.

Travis’ upcoming project will be his fourth studio effort and will be a follow-up to his 2018 mega-hit record ‘Astroworld’. The album included hits like ‘Butterfly Effect’, ‘Sicko Mode’, ‘Yosemite’ and ‘Wake Up’ and debuted atop the US Billboard 200 charts.

Release date

Scott is yet to divulge details on the official release date of the album. However, if gossip by multiple publications is to be believed, ‘Utopia’ might hit the Internet in February or March 2021.

Concept

To celebrate the second anniversary of his third album ‘Astroworld’ in August 2020, Scott posted a picture of a hand-written thanking note to his fans on his official Twitter account where he again teased his fans with ‘Utopia’. He cleverly ended the thanking note with the sentence, “see you in Utopia” which sent fans into a frenzy on Twitter.

According to the website Genius, he again teased his fans when he put up the banners and promo CDs of his 2020 single ‘Franchise’ on sale and wrote "Live From Utopia" on them. In October 2020, he took to his official Twitter account again and wrote, “GOING TO GO COOK UP AND BUILD THESE WALLS FOR UTOPIA. SEE YOU GUYS SOON” and a day before he posted, “DJs Just keep Checking ur mailbox. Got something on the way in the mail for ya.”

Now, most recently as December 10, 2020, it was reported by multiple publications that Scott was working on the album in Mexico with Don Toliver, Wondagurl, along with artistes like Hit-Boy, Roddy Ricch, Future and Kevin Parker.
