Erica Banks’ hit single ‘Buss It’ was first released in June 2020 but it did not go viral on the internet until December last year. Now, the track is all over Tik-Tok and Instagram as ‘Buss It Challenge’ with many celebrities taking part in it and giving a push the song deserves.

If the track was not viral enough, it is now hip-hop icon Travis Scott who has hopped on the remix of the same. There might be a Texas connection but we aren't complaining. Banks took to her official Twitter account to announce the big news with her fans on Thursday, February 11.

‘Buss It’ featuring Travis Scott

The 22-year-old rapper posted a 15-second audio snippet on her official Twitter account where it features a few lines from Travis. The song opens with the sample from Nelly’s ‘Hot in Herre’ and Travis then launches into his verse by talking about spending money on luxury items and women. The original song reached number 62 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and number 38 on the R&B Hip-Hop Airplay chart. It looks like the feature with Travis will definitely give the track a bigger boost. However, Travis is yet to share the track on his social media platforms.

In an interview with Complex, Banks had recently shed light on how the collaboration came together. “It’s so crazy. I got a phone call, and the phone call was like, ‘Yo, I’m about to send you this song. I’m about to play this song for you. Tell me what you think.’ I’m not knowing what I’m about to listen to. So I hear ‘Buss It,’ but I hear [Travis Scott] on it. I’m just wowed. I’m like, ‘What the hell is going on? How did he even get this song?’ That’s how I found out, through a phone call of somebody calling me and telling me.”

‘Travis Scott is shameless for this Buss It remix’

As soon as Banks dropped the track on the internet, a lot of social media users took to Twitter to share their opinion on the same. Looking at the reactions, it looks like the internet was not really ecstatic about the ‘Highest in the Room’ hitmaker lending a verse on the viral hit. One user stated, “Erica Banks could’ve had ANYONE on “Buss It (Remix)” but she chose Travis Scott... like... there are so MANY female rappers that would have jumped on that song and made it an even bossier bitch anthem.” Another shared, “I really wanted Erica to put anybody but Travis Scott lame ass on the buss it remix.”

One user said, “Wait Travis Scott on the buss it remix was the turn of the century. Highly unexpected lol.” One added, “i don’t know who decided travis scott needed to be on the remix of a song called Buss It but i want them arrested immediately.” Another posted, “That Travis Porter shoulda been on the Buss It remix instead of Travis Scott.” One individual asserted, “Travis Scott is shameless for this Buss It Remix. It’s enough.”
