LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Social media users are scoffing at Canadian businessman and the "Mr. Wonderful" of Shark Tank Kevin O'Leary after he posted an emotional video on his TikTok account while purchasing six figures worth of a specially designed Swiss luxury watch. O'Leary, who boasts almost one million followers on his TikTok profile, posted the mobile video showing him admiring a steel Audemars Piguet Royal Oak with an openwork face timepiece.

Audemars Piguet does not display the prices of its watches but as per several watch-selling websites, the very same model starts at more than $100,000 and goes as high as $700,000. The 68-year-old can be seen shedding his tears while staring at the watch with dramatic piano music playing in the background. He held the watch in his right hand and wiped the tears with his left hand.

'It has made grown men weep'

“It’s incredible,” O’Leary says in the video which was uploaded on Monday, February 13. “I can’t believe I’m holding it — the only one in the world,”  he adds in the 14-second clip. He also posted a similar type of video on YouTube, showing him at the watch dealer.

“It’s a gorgeous piece,” the watch salesman tells O’Leary. “Oh my goodness,” O’Leary responds. “It’s so incredible. It has made grown men weep.” “It’s pure beauty,” the Canadian-born investor said. The Shark Tank judge said in his YouTube video that he was looking for a “smoking hot dream” of a watch. “I’m getting to a point here where I’ve got so many watches,” O’Leary said. “When I want to bring in a new story, I need something that is so coveted, so hard-to-get, so hard-to-find — the Royal Oak, steel, openwork, one-of-a-kind, Shark Tank watch."

An "openwork" watch typically has a transparent window which is designed in such a manner that it shows its inner mechanics. He boasted that the watch would be the “centerpiece of the fashionista man himself, Mr. Wonderful.”

In the clip, O'Leary says that as a way to reward himself, he buys himself a collector watch for making a lucrative financial transaction.

'Kevin O’Leary is the ultimate cringe'

Social media users, however, reacted mostly in a negative manner. One Twitter user said, "Kevin O’Leary is ultimate cringe. Crying over a watch…WTF !" "Ultimate cringe," wrote another, while one user tweeted, "I can’t stand Kevin." "Bad actor. Pun intended", opined one while another tweeted, "Still don't know how this guy made money. He's a total buffon everytime I see him."
