All you need to know about Tomorrowland 2018: festival dates, lineup and more

Every year the festival pucks on one theme to suit the mood and this year's theme is 'The Story of Planaxis'

Tomorrowland is coming back for its three-day music festival, packed with big names and a lot of crazy beats. Tomorrowland has revealed its dates and theme for 2018. Every year the festival pucks on one theme to suit the mood and this year's theme is 'The Story of Planaxis'. 

Interestingly, the theme refers to subspecies of snails that are specific to the sea. These are small living beings that have swirly outer shells. The Fibonacci sequence logo is inspired by these patterns. The mysterious trailer shows a city of Planaxis submerged under water and a massive Atlantis.   

Last year's theme was called 'Amicorum Spectaculum,' which translates into a festival of friends. The festival will take place in his hometown of Boom in Belgium and will take place between July 20 to 22, and July 27 to 29. Even though everything looks as cool as a sea breeze, don't be surprised if the festival gets temperatures soaring. 

For Friday, July 20, the lineup includes Alan Walker, Axwell /\ Ingrosso, Bonzai All Stars feat. Airwave, Carl Cox, Charlotte de Witte, Hardwell, Joris Voorn, Netsky, San Holo, Steve Aoki, Vini Vici, Brohug, Don Diablo, Jauz, Julian Calor, k?d, Lost Stories x ZAEDEN, Mike Williams, Oliver Heldens, Robert Falcon, Tiësto, Adam Beyer, Ben Klock, Dense & Pika, Enrico Sangiuliano, Ida Engberg, Michael Thoelen, Richie Hawtin, Sam Paganini, Above & Beyond, Amy Wiles, Andrew Bayer, Gabriel & Dresden, Genix & Sunny Lax, Grum, Ilan Bluestone, Jason Ross, Oliver Smith, Spencer Brown, Tinlicker and many more popular acts. 

Saturday 21 July's lineup includes names like Nicky Romero, Dua Lipa, Alesso, Alison Wonderland, Armin van Buuren, Curtis Alto, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Nora En Pure, Salvatore Ganacci, Sam Feldt, Sunnery James & Ryan Marciano and Yellow Claw on the main stage. Freedom stage will have Axwell for a second time along with Benny Benassi, D.O.D, Fatboy Slim, Galantis, Jack Wins, Kryder, NEW_ID, Shapov, Tom Staar, WILL K vs Dave Winnel. Organ of Harmony's lineup includes Blinders, Brooks, CMC$, Dua Lipa, Hermanos, Jonas Blue, Justin Mylo, Martin Garrix, Matisse & Sadko, Tchami x Malaa, TV Noise and Ytram among other artists who will be on the other multiple stages.

Sunday (July 22) will feature Andrew Rayel, Coone, Fedde Le Grand, Lost Frequencies, Martin Garrix, Paul Kalkbrenner, Paul Oakenfold, Steve Angello, Timmy Trumpet and Yves V on the main stage. These are just the acts for the first weekend FYI. 

This year's Tomorrowland looks super promising. Tickets to the festival have been sold out. The minimum age limit to enter the festival is 18. People born in 2000 will be granted entrance even though they turn 18 after the festival. Anyone who turns 18 in 2018 is permitted entrance.
