Tom Cruise beams and poses for selfies with US Navy team during special screening of 'Top Gun: Maverick'
USS GEORGE HW BUSH, ADRIATIC SEA: Still fresh from the success of his smashing hit 'Top Gun: Maverick,' Tom Cruise paid a visit to a US Navy aircraft carrier. The team arranged a special screening of the movie on Friday, March 10, in the Adriatic Sea for the crew of the USS George HW Bush (CVN 77) along with a meet-and-greet session. The ‘Mission Impossible’ actor was accompanied by ‘Ted Lasso’ star Hannah Waddingham, producer Christopher McQuarrie and editor Eddie Hamilton.
Tom Cruise donned a casual look in a navy blue bomber jacket and a matching jumper as he happily posed with the sailors for selfies. His partner, Hannah, picked a sporting black turtleneck top and matching trousers while both chatted, took photographs, and toured the massive beast of a vessel. The cruise has been on-duty since departing Naval Station Norfolk in August last year which is the tenth and final Nimitz-class supercarrier of the United States Navy.

Their commitment and courage are on display every day and I know Tom and his entire team left with a fuller appreciation of the capabilities and power of the US Navy's carrier strike groups -- and the dedication and grit of our Sailors that make it all possible.” He was seconded by Captain Dave Pollard, the aircraft carrier and commanding officer, who is a 'Top Gun' graduate and instructor himself, “While 'Top Gun' will always be an American and Navy classic, Tom, Chris, Eddie, and their team outdid themselves.
