Tina Turner dead at 83: Singer's son Ronnie's cause of death revealed after he was found dead at 62
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: News of Tina Turner's death at 83 has stunned the world and sent it spiraling into grief. But Turner herself was never far from it throughout her life. The singer had the misfortune of mourning the death of two of her sons when she was alive. Days after it was reported that Tina Turner’s son Ronnie Turner has died at the age of 62, officials revealed he died due to “complications” from colon cancer. The musician died at his home in Fernando Valley on Thursday, December 8.
A report by Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-Coroner’s office noted that Ronnie also suffered from atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease at the time of his death, according to Page Six. Atherosclerosis is a hardening of arteries caused by gradual plaque build-up, which causes obstruction of blood flow. Last week, Ronnie’s wife of 17 years, Afida also revealed that he died in just three weeks of fighting cancer, which ravaged his body.

The tragic death of Ronnie came just four years after Tina’s elder son Craig Turner shot himself to death in July 2018. The 83-year-old singer also posted a black-and-white photo of herself mourning the death of her elder son and captioned: "Ronnie, you left the world far too early. In sorrow, I close my eyes and think of you, my beloved son." Tina welcomed Ronnie in 1960 with her ex-husband, the late Ike Turner. Inspired by his mother, Ronnie followed Tina’s step into the music industry and performed with his band, Manufactured Funk.
The news of Ronnie’s death came out after Law enforcement sources told TMZ they received an emergency call from someone claiming Ronnie was struggling to breathe outside their home. The musician suddenly stopped breathing before the paramedics arrived. Though the paramedics rushed to the scene and attempted PCR but failed to save him.
