'I just lost it': Tim McGraw recalls 'teary' moment when daughter Gracie moved to LA
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Tim McGraw is reminiscing about a difficult time as a parent in an appearance on Audacy's Rob + Holly on Monday, March 13. The country singer, 55, recalled feeling teary-eyed after dropping his daughter Gracie, 25, when she moved to Los Angeles. McGraw and his wife Faith Hill are the parents of three daughters: Gracie, Audrey, 20, and Maggie, 23.
McGraw began, "I drove my daughter to L.A. when she moved out there, I drove cross country with her. I took all the seats out of my Cadillac Escalade and loaded it up with all of her stuff." "When I dropped her off, I just lost it," he exclaimed. "And then I had to drive home all by myself. I was crying the whole time," the emotional father of three continued. The singer of 'It's Your Love' talked about watching his children become grownups in an interview with 'Leo Edit' from March 2021, as per People.

McGraw in 'Leo Edit' interview
In an interview with 'Leo Edit' from March 2021, McGraw joked about parenting and said, "It's crazy. It goes by so fast." "You think you're giving them good life lessons. You know, as a parent—look, [laughs] you're going to get half of everything wrong. That's just the nature of it. There is no handbook with it," he continued.
"What starts happening is you start marking your time by their years. And the next thing you know, they grow so fast and it's like every two years there's a different child that you have as they age," McGraw exclaimed. The country singer described watching children grow as "a beautiful thing, but it's a sad thing at the same time." The 'My Little Girl' singer added, "You find yourself reflecting and looking back at pictures and thinking, 'Oh my gosh, I remember that time, I remember when they looked like that.'"
Proud parents of three daughters
The love story of Tim McGraw and Faith Hill would not be complete without mentioning their close-knit family. McGraw and Hill are one of the most well-known couples in country music and co-starred on the 'Yellowstone' prequel series '1883'. They are also the proud parents of three children named Gracie, Maggie, and Audrey. People have witnessed the McGraw daughters grow into young women, from their public appearances with their parents to McGraw and Hill's charming social media posts about them.
Although McGraw and Hill have made significant career advancements, it is evident that being a parent is their finest achievement. "It's inspiring to me to watch them go out on their own and do the things they do," McGraw stated to People in 2021 about his daughters. "We've raised three strong, independent, strong-minded young women. And what I'm most grateful for is just how normal our kids are and how grounded they are and how much they respect themselves and other people. It makes me feel like we've done a pretty decent job, especially Mom," the country music couple exclaimed.
