LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Dwayne Johnson has opened up about a horrifying car crash in which the star's mother Ata Johnson was involved. The 50-year-old took to Instagram on Thursday, February 2, to pen a heartfelt note about the scary incident pleading with his fans to be grateful for their parents.
The wrestler-turned-actor shared an eye-popping picture of the car which his beloved mother Ata Johnson was driving at the time of the accident. Fortunately 'The Rock's mother did not suffer any life-threatening injury in the auto incident but the star hinted his mother "will survive and continue to get evaluated."

What happened to Ata Johnson?
Ata Johnson was driving a red Cadillac Escalade when she was involved in a serious car crash on Wednesday night, February 2. The panic-stricken Baywatch actor revealed he received a call from the Los Angeles Police Department informing him about the crash. Although not much information surrounding the escalation of the accident was made known.
However, the picture of the car involved in the accident shared by Dwayne Johnson did speak a million words. The red Cadillac Escalade was completely crushed from the passenger side with almost half of the bonnet of the vehicle scrapped off. Fellow celebrity friends and fans were quick to send their support and best wishes to Dwayne Johnson and his family.

Emotional Dwayne Johson took to Instagram thanking the heavens above for protecting his beloved mother Ata Johnson. "Thank you God 🙏🏾 she’s ok," he wrote, "Angels of mercy watched over my mom as she was in a car crash late last night." "She’ll survive and continue to get evaluated," 50-year-old 'The Rock' informed.
He further stated that his mother has survived many near-death experiences. "This woman has survived lung cancer, tough marriage, head on collision with a drunk driver and attempted suicide," the Skyscraper actor asserted. "She’s a survivor, in ways that make angels and miracles real."
He also thanked the Los Angeles Police Department and Fire Department for their assistance. "Thank you LAPD & LAFD for being so caring & focused. Thanks for staying on phone and talking me thru it all." "I got one parent left, so if you still got your mom and dad make sure you hug ‘em hard, cos you never know when you’ll get that 3am call we never want to get," Dwayne Johnson concluded.
