SALT LAKE COUNTY, UTAH: Police bodycam footage has revealed TikTok star Taylor Frankie Paul losing her cool after her boyfriend Dakota Mortensen declined to take her to a concert because she was too intoxicated. The Mormon mother "went ballistic" and flung chairs at Mortensen, hitting her daughter Indy in the head accidentally.

Paul told police that she had "peed" herself as she was scared of Mortensen when they got at the suburban Salt Lake City area, as seen in the video. Paul stated, "I pushed him. I hit him. He pushed me into the kids' stuff, and then I went ballistic." Furthermore, the charges were elevated to felony aggravated assault, reckless child abuse, and domestic violence in the presence of a child after Mortensen provided police video from his mobile phone showing the chair striking her 5-year-old daughter, Indy. On the footage, Mortensen can be heard telling police that Indy is his "biggest concern" and that he "felt so bad" for the child.

'A little bit scared for my life'

Police stated that the house had "multiple metal chairs and other household items on the floor." Mortensen reported to police that he believed his elbow and finger were hurt and that he was "a little bit scared for my life." He also mentioned what he claimed to be minor damage to his truck. Mortensen expresses concern that the incident will make headlines in the video. On TikTok, Paul has four million followers. He asked, "What happens from here, though? I mean, does this go on-record?" adding, "Will her picture be plastered... like, on a website?"

The officer informed him that Paul would have to appear in court and said, "No, it's not like she's going to make the news by any means." Upon being handcuffed and brought into a police cruiser, Paul cooperated with cops despite her repeated requests to know why she was being arrested.

What was Taylor Frankie Paul charged of?

The Salt Lake County District Attorney filed charges against Paul for two counts of third-degree felon domestic violence in the presence of a child that resulted in injury, one count of Class A misdemeanour child abuse that resulted in injury, and one count of Class B misdemeanour criminal mischief. She is due in court on April 14.
