TI or Jeezy, who will win Verzuz battle? Fans say rappers will ‘mop the floor’ after saying no to Busta Rhymes

The Atlanta rapper responded to Jeezy in a lengthy Instagram video and accepted the challenge despite hip-hop legend Busta Rhymes also calling him out earlier that same day

It is time for another Verzuz battle on Instagram, and rappers TI and Jeezy are the fresh opponents, who will go head-to-head in a LIVE battle online very soon. The southern hip-hop legends are the latest to accept the Verzuz battle against each other.

Jeezy, whose real name is Jay Wayne Jenkins, took to his official Instagram account to post a short video concerned with the same. He captioned the selfie video as, “PUT A DATE ON IT @therealswizzz @timbaland @verzuztv.” In the video he can be heard talking about his opponent without taking anyone’s name. He said, “Say bruh, you done been around the whole world on your campaign, you know? Now you back here. I don’t know what you avoiding me for. I’ll tell you what, though since it mean that much to you, put a date on it! I ain’t gon’ meet you there, I’ma beat you there. Straight up. Big Snow!”

According to the Instagram gossip page, The Shade Room, TI then popped in the comments and wrote, “Hmmmm”, with a thinking emoticon. “Could this longtime constituent of mine be referring to me??? @jeezy.” The Atlanta rapper then responded in a lengthy Instagram video and accepted the challenge despite hip-hop legend Busta Rhymes also calling him out earlier that same day where the former turned it down explaining in a separate live video that the gap between Busta’s generation and his own was a little too wide for the competition to make sense. He captioned his almost nine-minute video as, “@jeezy @verzuztv @timbaland @therealswizzz Y'all tell “I'll be his Huckleberry. Order this sh*t off the menu & you shall be served SIR. Now let's see how much heat it takes to melt this snow FYI I'm fye ASAP IS THE DATE I SELECT SIR.”

The moment it was finalised that TI and Jeezy are going to lock horns in the Verzuz battle, a lot of hip-hop fans took to Twitter to express their opinion. One user said, “Jeezy can definitely do a lot. It’s gonna be closer than folks think.” Another fan tweeted, “That's a good ole ATL T.I.P call out! The SnowMan v/s the Rubberband ManPerson shrugging I'm here for alllll the smoke!” One individual expressed, “TIP & Jeezy in a VS battle. Jeezy a body TIP.”

Another added, “Aye jeezy gone bring tha whole hood to #Verzuz Facts!!” One hip-hop fan said, “Jeezy will mop the floor with TI in a verzuz He could use The Recession or Church in these Streets alone and win.” While mentioning about Busta and TI, another wrote, “TI talked all the sh*t bout New York rappers he want all the small any wanna you rappers now you see it’s Busta now you wanna switch up but you got 5 classic albums GTFOH.”

TI, who is also known as Tip, has been campaigning to go up against someone for the online battle for some time now, and had previously addressed the idea of battling Jeezy on an Instagram Live. According to HiphopDX website, TI had said, “Man to be honest with you bruh, I feel like I picked who I thought was my best shot. And everybody keep saying me and Young, me and Young, me and Young. Incredible amount of respect for Young and his catalog. That’s a personal partner of mine. But if Young wanted this smoke, he’d say it. I know Young. If Young wanted this smoke, if Young wanted this action, he’d say it! So until Young say something, it’s talk!”

TI had earlier also called out 50 Cent for the Verzuz battle but the latter was not interested.
