The best romance is inside marriage, and sometimes, the finest love stories come after the wedding. Will Kevin Pearson (Justin Hartley) and Madison Simons (Caitlin Thompson) head on the same path? As the new ‘This Is Us’ episode airs, it might unexpectedly draw the couple closer and who knows, the pair might actually turn out to be perfect together in the future.

What really happens once the babies come home? Will Madison help Kevin build a home? These are the few questions on fans' minds. Titled ‘The Ride’, the summary reads, “A series of car rides propels the Pearsons towards new stages of their lives.”

‘This Is Us’ Season 5 Episode 5: Are Kevin and Madison meant to be together or will they break up soon?

Kevin and Madison's love story hasn't gone the conventional way. The chemistry and the attraction two people have for each other in a relationship certainly lacks when it comes to these two. But they do complete each other and balance each other's negatives out.

Since the very beginning, Kevin has struggled with his relationships and fans often wonder if his childhood sweetheart, Sophie Inman (Alexandra Breckenridge) will come back. Others have gone onto point out that Madison doesn't fit into his perfect love story. But, what if, their love story begins after marriage and through co-parenting? Will the new episode hint at the couple's marriage? Well, only time will tell... But fans do have a few theories ready.

The new promo of the episode shows a flashback of Jack Pearson (Milo Ventimiglia) and Rebecca Pearson (Mandy Moore) struggling with the triplets. As the babies go home, Jack grapples with the car seat and then finds himself worrying when Rebecca is tensed. To ease himself, he goes to the liquor shop and buys one of those little whiskeys.

Fans have been drawing a parallel with that scene and connecting it to how Kevin might follow in his father's footsteps and want to be a father like him. I’m wondering if they are going to parallel this story with Kevin’s journey either leaving the hospital or going to it as the focus has been on how he wants to be like his dad.

After the promo was released, one fan commented, “Maybe Kevin gets tempted to fall back into his addiction. Idk I just feel like they aren’t revealing a lot on purpose in this teaser,” and another posted, “We did not see a development of Kevin and Madison's relationship, but yet he is all in with her? She has all kinds of issues that are not being shown. So does Kevin. The whole thing is so glossed over. I could go on and on with examples.”

Titled “Build a home”, a new Reddit post goes on to point out how Madison could finally be Kevin's home. “Kevin doesn't have a home. The only home he has had was his childhood home that burnt down. Since the beginning of the show, we have seen Kevin living in hotel rooms, rental houses/apartments, and trailers. Even when he was married to Sophie it wasn't long until he moved away from her to LA. I think it's important for Kevin to find a home and somewhere that will finally make him feel home/comfortable.”

The fan continues, “Now flip this to Madison. She has a home one she feels very comfortable with. We don't know her history but I'm sure she has worked really hard on that home by herself to make her feel comfortable there... Kevin has been running from his past since Jack died. Whether it's because he doesn't want to lose something so significant like a ‘home’ again. Or he is running because he doesn't want to confront the fact that he lost his Dad but I think the significance of Madison and her home are going to make Kevin finally settle down.”

Will Kevin pop the question? And, if Kevin does end up proposing Madison for marriage, will the marriage survive tough times? “I think their love story is beautiful and maybe hasn't started in the perfect way. But most real relationships don't start with love at first sight moment and end with a happily ever after with no friction in between. I really love their connection and work they put in,” one fan said.

Another added, “Yes I agree, I love Kevin and Madison's relationship. It's been strained because like you said I'm sure Madison has always questioned, ‘will Kevin stay?’. I think she is well aware of his track record and she probably always had a guard up wondering where she stands. I think the guard will come down now that Kevin made it to the births and that he said he is committed. I think Kevin wanted to make it to the births, less for the kids but more for Madison. He wanted to prove to her that he can be there!”

“I think Kevin and Madison are also like Rebecca and trying to be practical. They know their relationship didn't start from the best circumstance, and they also know the odds are stacked against them. I think now that Kevin is committed and the twins are here, we will see some really sweet moments with them. I think Kevin and Madison's relationship is up to them and they get to decide if they want to build a love story or let reality make them fail,” one fan added.
