'The Young and the Restless': James Hyde CONFIRMS Jeremy Stark's demise, teary-eyed fans want him back
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: The CBS soap opera 'The Young and the Restless,' created by William J Bell and Lee Philip Bell, is about to say goodbye to one of its most beloved characters. James Hyde, who plays Jeremy Stark, seems to be confirming that his character's demise is imminent, but there's a wonderful thing about soap operas that they could indeed be fooling us.
Jeremy Stark was introduced to the audience in 2022 as the former lover of Diane Jenkins, played by Susan Walters. When Diane was hiding out after arranging her death, the two met. On the April 17 episode, Phyllis played by Michelle Stafford and Jeremy engaged in an argument and the viewers saw her soaked in blood and trying to drag a body out of the room wrapped in a white sheet.

Is Jeremey Stark dead?
In the April 17 episode of 'The Young and the Restless', Jeremy Stark had a heated conversation with Phyllis in a hotel room as she tried to persuade him to take her side, thinking about what they'd be putting Diane's children, Danny and Summer, through if they went ahead with their plan to put Diane to prison. After she tried to get out of the room, he stalled her and pursued her with a pair of scissors into the washroom, and the viewers were shown Phyllis covered in blood and dragging a body wrapped in a white sheet out of the room. The audience was not shown what went down in the washroom.
Hyde went live on social media to confirm that he adored the character and that it's unfortunate how it ended, but that's the way it unfolds. During the live session, a fan asked Hyde if Jeremy Stark was officially dead, to which he replied that he indeed was dead, but also noted that they are doing a soap opera, which means that the storylines can be brought back if they fit into the narrative. During the live session, Rory Gibson, who plays Noah, expressed remorse for not having had more opportunities to work with Hyde, while his longtime friend Greg Vaughan, who played Eric on 'Days of Our Lives', chose to stand up to mock his friend.
Will James Hyde return on 'The Young and the Restless'?
Hyde, one of the soap opera's most popular and well-liked actors, urged fans to contact the network if they wanted to see him return. A lot of fans have ideas for what they want to see on-screen, and some suggested that Hyde return as Jeremy's never-mentioned, better-natured twin. Hyde, on the other hand, had his theory about Jeremey and stated that his vengeful alter ego would very much like to have Diane arrested before adding that he is not entirely sure how that would play out, but he would like it.
Moreover, the actor did not forget to thank the audience, as well as the cast and crew, for their love and acceptance, and stated that everyone on the show welcomed him. The suspicion of Jeremy's death continues because one of the fans tried to express their sadness at seeing Jeremy's body wrapped in the white sheet, to which Hyde reacted that no one actually saw him wrapped in the sheet, which is why nobody knows if Jeremy is still alive or deceased and if Hyde would return to the show if his character was indeed dead. Also, there has been no official confirmation about this from the network's side.
