'The Wheel of Time' Episode 7: [Spoiler] revealed to be the Dragon Reborn

The fourth episode saw Moiraine and Rand journey through the dangerous Blight and make their way to the Eye of the World where they find a mysterious construction with a symbol in the center. Rand recognizes the symbol as the Eye and says that he remembers fighting someone here. But when he touches the center the young man falls unconscious and has a dream depicting the ideal life that he could have with Egwene al'Vere (Madeleine Madden).

The Dark One (Fares Fares) chooses that very moment to appear with Moiraine immediately attacking him. But her effort is futile as the Dark One who looks like a man now, is not affected but instead immediately casts a net of magic on her with the One Power choking Moiraine. As Moiraine struggles for breath he releases it and we learn he has cut her off from the source leaving her unable to channel.

Although Rand wakes up later and expels the Dark One we see him leave Moiraine behind and set off on a lonesome journey. As Lan finds her she breaks down and cries informing him that she can't touch the Source anymore. With the Dark One disappearing and leaving her powerless, it is to be seen if she'll ever be able to channel again. The powerful Aes Sedai who held rank as being capable of being the Amyrlin Seat has her fate remain a question mark in the season finale.

'The Wheel of Time' Season 1 is streaming on Amazon Prime Video.
