'The Walking Dead' Season 10 Finale: Daryl and Carol's scene has emotional fans shipping for the 'soulmates'

Fans couldn't help but get emotional at the fact that the duo has been one of the best zombie-killing teams and many still wish they do end up together

TWD fans have been waiting for the Season 10 finale for way too long at this point, and now that we're here, there is so much to be emotional about. With Beta's horde closing in on the group, they have to come up with a plan to get through the Horde and The Whisperers that are ready to pray, to get to a wagon that could lead the horde away from the group. Unfortunately, that means that some of them have to put on bloody disguises so they aren't sniffed out by the zombie hordes. The episode picked up right where Episode 15 'The Tower' left off where we saw Judith tell Daryl Dixon (Norman Reedus) that Michonne had left. In the finale, we see Daryl open up to Carol Peletier (Melissa McBride) about how he wished he could have known, to which Carol replies "I'm here".

Fans have been shipping Carol and Daryl for a while now, and we also know that there is a spin-off series coming our way with two of the series' two best characters. We and the fans couldn't help but get emotional at the fact that the duo has been one of the best zombie-killing team. Even though they had a small moment together in the finale, fans held on to that. 

"Daryl and Carol scene!  #TheWalkingDead #TWD," wrote one user. Another tweeted the brief interaction between the two: "Daryl is afraid he's never seeing Michonne again, 'just like everybody else.' Carol: 'I'm still here.' #TWD #TheWalkingDead" This is true because in the series you never know when it would be the last time they would see each other. 

Another fan added, "Such a great scene on the stairs, Carol realising how much pain Daryl is in because she left. #TheWalkingDead." The duo has been there for each other multiple times, and while we don't know if they will end up together, we do know that they will always have each other's back. That one small interaction was more than enough to make fans believe this. "Daryl protecting Carol, and Carol protecting Daryl! THEY ARE EVERYTHING! #Caryl #TheWalkingDead," tweeted another fan,

Not to mention, as they made it past the horde, and Beatrice lost her life (RIP), there was a brief moment that fans BELIEVED that Daryl freaked out thinking it was his "soulmate" Carol. Another added, "Daryl Dixon filled with love and protection for his soulmate Carol  #Caryl #TWD #TheWalkingDead"
