'The Voice' Season 17: Hello Sunday's performance stands out during the Knockouts and John Legend steals Alex Guthrie making it a win-win

Right from the start, Kelly Clarkson hoped that whoever loses the battle gets stolen by one of the other coaches, and right enough they did.

'The Voice' season 17 is in full swing with the series entering night 3 of the Knockouts. With the competition getting tougher by the minute,  the series brought in Grammy award-winning singer Taylor Swift as the mega mentor.

Providing advice to the contestants on their songs and stage presence, Taylor assisted the coaches during the Knockouts. It is never an easy task for a coach to get rid of a contestant, and that's the same thing Kelly Clarkson faced when Alex Guthrie and Hello Sunday battled it out on Monday night when 'The Voice' returned. Right from the start, Kelly hoped that whoever lost the battle gets stolen by one of the other coaches.

During the rehearsals the duo even made Swift cry with their performance. Alex really needed to step up his game if he wanted to win, and luckily for him, he did. Performing  'I’m Not the Only One' by Sam Smith, Alex's raspy and soulful voice really made his performance stand out. Singing their rendition of Ariana Grande’s  'Almost Is Never Enough', Hello Sunday gave us that choir feel with their harmonies.

The coaches were shocked by each of their performances. After Alex's performance, Blake said, "You had great pocket, I thought it was really good." But ultimately he revealed that if he had to pick a winner, he would choose Hello Sunday because they are real competition. John Legend raved about Hello Sunday saying, "There were moments, Hello Sunday, where you’re very creative with the way you harmonize together. It’s unconventional and it’s really fun to watch.” But ultimately he revealed he would choose Alex as the winner because he impressed him.

Gwen Stefani shared that Hello Sunday are “so interesting and so different" and that she would pick them as winners. Kelly was definitely in a fix because she had no idea who to pick.

But when it to making the decision, Kelly chose Hello Sunday as the winner. The duo was poised and their vocal strength together is just out of the world. Hence why their win came without a doubt.

With Hello Sunday advancing to the Live-Playoffs, Alex was eliminated. But luckily, when he was leaving John pressed his button and stole Alex. Though Alex might not be on Team Kelly anymore, fans are happy that he is with John and is still in the competition.

Taking to Twitter a fan wrote, "I love @TheAlexGuthrie! He is amazing. Wish he was still on #TeamKelly, but glad that John stole him so that he was not eliminated. His voice and range are fantastic. #TheVoice #VoiceKnockouts."

Adding to that another wrote, "Yes, I agree too, I also think @TheAlexGuthrie is so talented, too and I’m so happy he’s still on The Voice, too."

'The Voice' season 17 airs every Monday and Tuesday only on NBC. Check your listings for more information.
