'The Voice' 2023: Niall Horan slammed for choosing Ross Clayton and sending Laura Littleton home
UNIVERSAL CITY, CALIFORNIA: 'The Voice' 2023 battle round continues for the second day with a mindblowing duet. Ross Clayton and Laura Littleton from Team Niall Horan performed 'Stop Draggin' My Heart Around' by Tom Petty & Stevie Nicks.
Laura and Ross' energetic performance blew away 'The Voice' Season 23 coaches Blake Shelton, Kelly Clarkson, Chance The Rapper and Niall Horan. However, Niall made the tough decision of sending Laura back home. During the auditions, Kelly used her only block for Laura to have her in 'Team Kelly' and Blake turned his chair. But none of the coaches hit the buzzer to 'steal' her during the battle round when they had a chance to bring her back.

Niall Horan let Ross Clayton enter Knockouts
Laura and Ross delivered a powerful performance during the second night of the battle round. Niall chose 'Stop Draggin' My Heart Around' by Tom Petty and Stevie Nicks for the two young singers to perform. Niall picked the song because Ross and Laura both have country influences even though they aren't country singers. Both the young artists wowed 'The Voice' 2023 coaches. Chance joked that he only 'thinks' Laura and Ross did the song justice because he's never heard it before. Kelly and Blake also praised both singers but agreed that Ross did justice to the song. Kelly called Laura's vibrato 'intoxicating', but she feels that Ross's vocals 'cut through' in a way that made him stand out. Meanwhile, Blake dubbed Laura a 'free spirit' while Ross is 'stoic' but 'rock solid.' Niall stuck to Blake and Kelly's advice and picked Ross over Laura. Notably, Niall agreed with Kelly and Blake and let Ross enter the Knockouts. However, Chance and Blake decided not to use their only 'steal' for Laura.
