After steamrolling over her opponents in the first episode of 'The Titan Games', Chantae McMillan suffered defeat at the hands of Dani Speegle in the second episode. Dani Speegle had similarly won easily against her competitors and had to face McMillan, who had won the title of Titan in the final obstacle course. Speegle raced ahead, while McMillan got stuck. Speegle won handsomely, and McMillan had to hand over her title of Titan to her.

Speaking to MEA WorldWide (MEAWW) about the experience, McMillan says,  "It was hard to watch that competition, just because I knew the outcome and I obviously don't like losing. After I competed, I said my honest truth, I felt like I was the more athletic one in the competition and I messed up and if I didn't mess up, I would've won. It's not like track and field where you can just go back to practice and assess and add something else new in and move forward to your next competition. It's a matter of mentally preparing and knowing where you messed up and actually going into something else, completely new that you've never done before."

Speaking about what she learnt from this episode, she says, "Being strong, mentally, not getting too down on myself, moving on. My coach always preached to me that you do great or you do badly after one event, you have five minutes to celebrate or be sad. And then we're moving on and thinking about the next event. So that's essentially what I did. I had my pity party and then had to move on for next time."

McMillan adds, "Losing isn't a bad thing. It's a learning experience. So you take that experience and you see how you mess up or you see how you can get better and you build off of that for the next time."

McMillan maintains that she doesn't know Speegle well since the latter had kept her distance from other athletes. "No, actually a lot of athletes saw that she distanced herself from the rest of us. So we didn't talk to her much. I don't know what is going on in her life, but she just wasn't around. The girl I really liked talking to was Alexis. We're probably the closest girls from the whole competition. We had a lot in common," she adds.

"A lot of us were always hanging out. I mean, we lived together 24/7 at the hotel and got to know each other really well. I remember one nice day off. We were always doing stuff together, but not her [Speegle]. You made other good friends. That's what matters."

'The Titan Games' airs on Mondays, NBC at 8 pm.
