"'The Sinner' has struck a chord with audiences with its signature 'whydunit' style," said Chris McCumber, President, USA Network & SYFY in an official statement.

Labeled a "middle-of-the-road performer", the third season of 'The Sinner' averaged a 0.16 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 651,000 viewers. However, the first season was the number one new cable series of 2017 and Jessica Biel earned an Emmy nomination for the show. The series scored two Golden Globe nominations for Season 1 and a SAG nomination for Pullman in Season 2.
