American television series 'The Office' has officially become the highest streamed show on Netflix, beating 'Friends'. Steve Carell, who featured as the Regional Manager of Dunder Mifflin, Michael Scott, appeared on tonight's episode of 'The Late Night With Stephen Colbert' and went on to reveal that he has never watched himself much in the series!

While we just couldn’t get enough of the misadventures surrounding the employees of Scranton's paper company, the lead actor of ‘The Office’ was never interested in watching himself as Michael Scott in his hit show. The host, Stephen, who is a good friend of Steve’s, looked surprised after hearing the latter’s response.

When asked why, Steve went on to say that the cast of ‘The Office’ would sometimes get together to watch a few episodes, but that’s about it. Steve never fancied watching himself on-screen, be it on a show or film, as he stated on tonight’s episode of the ‘The Late Show With Stephen Colbert’.

However, Steve also revealed that he would have watched himself on-screen had he been a part of ‘The Shawshank Redemption’. Expressing his admiration for Morgan Freeman, ‘The Morning Show’ actor said he would love to watch himself play alongside the legendary actor, which was seconded by Stephen.

The rest of the episode saw Steve and Stephen engage in casual chattery as they discussed marriage, getting drunk out of their senses back in the day and the actor’s Apple + series ‘The Morning Show’ which is being aired currently.

The American web television series ‘The Morning Show’ starring Steve Carrell, Reese Witherspoon and Jennifer Aniston has garnered great reviews from the audience and critics alike. Steve Carrell plays the host of ‘The Morning Show’, who he defines to be a “very handsome, charming and narcissist”.

Steve Carell’s portrayal of Michael Scott on ‘The Office’ has helped him rack numerous awards, including a Golden Globe Award for the category ‘Best Actor – Television Series Musical or Comedy’.
