Alternative rock idols The Killers recently came out with a brand-new single titled 'Caution' and also revealed the title & artwork of their upcoming album, 'Impoding the Mirage'.

The band also announced that the new record would be coming out on May 29, making it their sixth studio album after 2017's 'Wonderful Wonderful'. Check out the catchy new track below.

The radio-friendly song talks about new starts and throwing caution to the wind. The lyrics go "I'm throwing caution / What's it gonna be? / Tonight the winds of change are blowing wild and free / If I don't get out / Out of this town / I just might be the one who finally burns it down."

These thoughts have presumably been on the lead singer's mind ever since Brandon Flowers, the frontman of The Killers, revealed that he had relocated from Las Vegas to Utah a few years ago.

The band produced the new album with some help from Shawn Everett and Jonathan Rado of the band Foxygen, with recording taking place in Los Angeles, Las Vegas and Park City, Utah, where Flowers now resides.

The album also features guest stars like Fleetwood Mac's Lindsey Buckingham (who played guitar on 'Caution'), kd lang, Weyes Blood, the War on Drugs' Adam Granduciel, Blake Mills and Lucius.

To go along with this momentous announcement, the band also revealed their plans for a massive 65-date worldwide tour, which will take them all over North and South America, the UK and Europe.

The tour will kick off on May 26 in England and wrap up in Mexico in December this year. For a list of complete tour dates and ticket information, you can click here

Considering the world is currently plagued by the coronavirus pandemic, the band's new song title 'Caution' is actually highly appropriate.

The Killers even recently shared a message for the world on their social media, encouraging everyone to stay safe and wash their hands. It read, "People of Earth, greetings and salutations. We've been putting this tour together for a long time, and we are extremely excited to finally share it with you."

The band also acknowledged that they had been monitoring the current worldwide health scare. "We have, of course, been paying close attention to the recent precautionary measures around the world and trust that the coronavirus is expected to follow traditional flu season patterns."

The band also looked optimistically towards the future, saying "We look forward to a great summer of shows. Look after each other — sing the chorus of 'Mr Brightside' when you wash your hands — and see you this summer!"
