Las Vegas-based rock band The Killers have teased their fans with a cryptic post that points at their new album. The official Twitter account of the band shared a tracklist of brand new songs but without any caption. The post only included the names of fresh 11 songs. In the right-hand side of the tracklist, the mysterious post says “A-List”, which can either be the name of their seventh album or it can also mean that fans might soon get a “B-List".

The much-acclaimed rock band formed in 2001 and had dropped their sixth full-length album titled ‘Imploding the Mirage’ in August 2020. Songs like ‘Caution’, ‘Fire in Bone’, ‘My Own’s Soul Warning’ and ‘Dying Breed’ got tremendous response from the audience.

Release date

The Killers haven’t shared any details on the release date but the cryptic post has surely given birth to speculations that the new yet-untitled album might hit the internet in early 2021. MEAWW will keep you posted on the same.

Concept

The Killers, which consists of guitarist Dave Keuning, singer Brandon Flowers, drummer Ronnie Vannucci and bassist Mark Stoermer, sat for an interview with NME magazine in August where they had revealed about making new music. While revealing about how the “creative spirit” of their latest acclaimed album ‘Imploding The Mirage‘ led to an outburst of even more songs, Flowers said, “You know when people just say that? Every time someone makes a record they say that they have 50 songs and they’re going to release another record. We really are. We’re going to release another one in about 10 months. We’ve already gone back into the studio with [Jonathon, producer] Rado and Shawn [Everett, producer]. We did a week in Northern California.”

Speaking of how his new songs were more inspired by his old music tastes and new life in Utah, Flowers stated, "I’m not writing a quarantine album or anything like that. You kind of just start hitting your stride when you’re finishing a record. You’re writing lyrics, you’re mixing everything, you’re in it – then you go on tour. It’s interesting to not be going on tour and having any of that stuff taking up my brain. I just went right back to the piano. I was already exercising my songwriting muscles so a lot of it came very quickly.”

Tracklist

The cryptic post shared by the band on Twitter comes with the following ‘A-List’ tracklist:

1. ‘Pressure Machine’
2. ‘In Another Life’
3. ‘Sleepwalker’
4. ‘In The Car Outside’
5. ‘A Terrible Thing’
6. ‘Runaway Horses’
7. ‘West Hills’
8. ‘The Getting By’
9. ‘Cody (The Miracle)’
10. ‘In This Quiet Town’
11. ‘Desperate Things’
