The dystopian series 'The Handmaid's Tale' created a storm when it debuted on Hulu in 2017. Since then, people cannot stop talking about the highly-acclaimed series. People love a certain amount of gruesome tragedy and the series' creator Bruce Miller has tapped into that sentiment. The popular TV show is based on the 1985 novel of the same name by Canadian author Margaret Atwood. The plot features a fictional dystopian world following a Second American Civil War wherein a totalitarian society subjects has forced fertile women, called handmaids, to produce children for the senior officers. If you have not watched the series, which is highly unlikely, you should stream it as Season 5 is almost here.

In Season 4, viewers witnessed how June objects to Fred's plea bargain agreement and struggles to accept his pending freedom. She draws on all her resources and relationships, risking everything to ensure her own kind of justice. However, this season has got a good rating from the critics. On Metacritic, it has received an average score of 65 out of 100, based on five reviews, indicating "generally positive reviews".

'The Handmaid’s Tale' creator, showrunner, and executive producer Miller said in a statement, “It has been a true honor to tell the story of Margaret Atwood’s groundbreaking novel and the chillingly relevant world, and we are thrilled to bring viewers a sixth and final season of ‘The Handmaid’s Tale'. We are grateful to Hulu and MGM for allowing us to tell this story, which unfortunately has remained as relevant as ever throughout its run, and are in awe of our incredible fans for their unwavering support, and without whom we never would have gotten to this point.”

Craig Erwich, President of ABC Entertainment, Hulu, and Disney Branded Television Streaming Originals, said, “Five years ago, almost to the day, ‘The Handmaid’s Tale’ made history when it became the first show to win an Emmy for a streaming service. So excited to see how Handmaid’s wraps up, and even more excited to see The Testaments. #HandmaidsTale," said another excited fan.
