Matt Reeves's 'The Batman' adds 'Teen Wolf' stars Charlie and Max Carver to the movie cast

There are quite a few roles they could take on in the world of DC Comics, from the heroic Wonder Twins, evil Trigger Twins to 'Batman' villains Tweedledum and Tweedledee

The cast of 'The Batman' is steadily expanding with two new actors joining the Matt Reeves movie. The film already has a former vampire in Robert Pattinson, who plays the Dark Knight in the latest adaptation, and now it seems it is also adding two former werewolves to the mix.

Charlie Carver and Max Carver, who are best known for playing Ethan and Aiden on 'Teen Wolf', are the latest actors to join the movie's cast. The identical twins have also had roles in 'Desperate Housewives' and 'The Leftovers'. 

The A.V. Club reports that the two actors have been cast in unspecified roles for the upcoming superhero film. There is a pretty sizable number of twins in the world of DC Comics, from the heroic Wonder Twins to the evil Trigger Twins and classic 'Batman' villains Tweedledum and Tweedledee. So there are quite a few roles they could take on.

Of course, there is also the possibility that they could be playing new characters we have never seen before. The movie already has a pretty full list of villains including Zoë Kravitz as Selina Kyle/Catwoman, Paul Dano as The Riddler, Colin Farrell as The Penguin and John Turturro as Carmine Falcone. 

Right now it appears most of Batman's core Rogues Gallery are going to be appearing in the movie except for the Joker and Two-Face/Harvey Dent. Two-Face does have twin henchmen called Min and Max on 'Batman: The Animated Series' so if the character does appear in the film, then those roles are also a possibility for the Carver twins.

Filming is currently on for 'The Batman' and set images have revealed the new Batsuit and Robert Pattinson's look as the Dark Knight, though we are yet to see his Bruce Wayne in action. So far, the movie appears to be set during Bruce's early days as Batman and will likely introduce his villains as well at their own origin stages.

'The Batman' is scheduled to arrive in theaters on June 25, 2021.
