SEOUL, SOUTH KOREA:The latest fantasy romance series, 'The Atypical Family', by Netflix, narrates the story of the Bok family, who had distinct supernatural skills but lost them due to lifestyle diseases.

Their lives alter when an ordinary woman, Do Da-hae (Chun Woo-hee), enters their lives and causes changes that result in the restoration of their abilities.

The second episode of the series dives into Bok Gwi-joo's (Jang Ki-yong) time travel origins and his battle with depression, which prevents him from using his powers.

However, with the arrival of Da-hae in his life, things are looking up for him, as seen by the most recent episode, in which Gwi-joo was able to reclaim his abilities.

Da-hae and Gwi-joo are shown getting intoxicated after being pushed into a set-up date by Gwi-joo's mother, Bok Man-heum (Go Doo-shim).

On the other side, Bok In-ah (Park So-yi) feels frightened when heading home, prompting her to call her father.

Conveniently, Da-hae answers up, inflating the circumstances to indicate that In-ah is being pursued.

Gwi-joo, spurred by a drink and a false sense of urgency, races with Da-Hae to locate In-ah and after reaching the place, Gwi-joo starts a needless fight after seeing a strange guy.

It is to be noted that the stranger was the same man he saw outside his home earlier in the day, who in reality happens to be Da-hae's uncle.

Later, it was discovered that In-ah was worried because she was having her first menstruation.

Sensing the awkwardness between the father and daughter, Da-hae intervenes and demonstrates her resourcefulness by bringing the required supplies for In-ah, prompting a thank you from the young girl and impressing Gwi-joo.

In a gesture of gratitude, Gwi-joo invites Da-hae to have a drink. During their conversation, Da-hae shares details about her tragic childhood and how it makes her feel relatable to In-ah.

This insight enables Gwi-joo to understand that his daughter needs care since he is too busy ruining his own life to take care of her.

Da-hae once agian reminded him of his act of holding her hand, which she has been blabbering about but Gwi-joo claims that he doesn't remember doing so.

Da-hae jokingly speculated suggesting, it must be Gwi-joo's future self who held her hand in the mall incident?

Later, curiosity gets the better of Gwi-joo, who closes his eyes and tries to time travel back, which he miraculously does.

Things begin to unravel in the same manner that happened on the previous day. Da-Hae's terror sets in, but this time something amazing occurs.

As the mayhem ensues, Gwi-joo approaches Da-Hae, and suddenly an extraordinary thing happens: Gwi-Ju, who had never touched someone before while time travelling, manages to hold Da-Hae's hand, and she can even see him.

The episode concludes with a surprising discovery that lays the stage for the next uproar, which will raise answer such as whether Gwi-Ju's abilities have returned or how he was able to touch Da-Hae.
