SEOUL, SOUTH KOREA: The curtain has closed on the captivating first episode of 'The Atypical Family' on Netflix, a South Korean fantasy drama that blends romance with a touch of mystery.

We met the Bok family, each possessing extraordinary abilities – Bok Gwi-joo (Jang Ki-yong), a time traveler tethered to happy memories, Bok Man-heum (Ko Du-Shim), a woman haunted by prophetic dreams, and Bok Dong-hee (Claudia Kim), with flying abilities.

However, the stresses of modern life have taken a toll, dampening their powers. Then we meet, Do Da-hae (Chun Woo-Hee), a seemingly enigmatic woman who crosses paths with the Boks.

Episode one left viewers with a web of questions: Can Da-hae, with her herbal remedies and calming presence, truly reignite the Boks' lost abilities? Is she the answer to their desperate prayers, or is there more to her story than meets the eye?

The first episode of 'The Atypical Family' throws a lot at us, leaving viewers with a head full of questions. We get to learn that the whole Bok family has a unique superpower. Gwi-joo can travel through time, but only to relive happy memories.

Unfortunately, modern life's stresses have taken a toll, dampening their abilities. Insomnia plagues Mrs. Bok, and even flying feels like a distant dream for Dong-hee.

Meanwhile, a mysterious woman named Do Da-hae enters the picture. She seems to have a calming effect on the family, especially Mrs. Bok, whom she helps sleep soundly with herbal tea. Da-hae's presence sparks a glimmer of hope – could she be the key to regaining their lost powers?

But a shocking twist throws Da-Hae's motives into question. We see her with her family, who are revealed to be con artists.

Meanwhile, family tensions simmer. Gwi-joo's suicide attempt casts a dark shadow. We learn his deceased wife disapproved of his time travel abilities, hinting at a deeper conflict.

Adding to the mystery, Gwi-joo's daughter, Bok In-ah (Park So-yi), seems withdrawn and harbors a secret power of her own. In a flashback, we see Gwi-joo's wife holding a blue light, possibly hinting at In-ah's connection to the supernatural.

The episode ends with a cliffhanger that leaves us wanting more. Gwi-joo gifts In-ah a bunny, triggering a memory of his wife's death. We learn his time travel was used to save someone, but it seems his wife didn't approve and attempted to crash the car with In-ah inside.

With so many questions unanswered, one thing's for sure, 'The Atypical Family' promises a captivating blend of fantasy, romance, and family drama in future episodes.
