Who is Blake Eyres? Meet the 'Temptation Island' Season 3 star who everybody thinks is 'fake and phony'
There is never any dearth of drama or tears on 'Temptation Island'. The four couples who signed up to appear on the show continue to wonder if they should leave the island with the partner they came with or leave with a completely new person. But the single people are also bringing their own fair share of drama to the show.
One of the singles on the show, Dr Blake Eyres managed to grab Chelsea Orcutt's attention from the very beginning. Although Chelsea is in a relationship with her boyfriend, Thomas Gipson, the 29-year-old marketing personnel found herself drawn to Blake and his whole persona. In his confessional, Thomas joked about how Chelsea has always been drawn to men and not boys, while indirectly giving his seal of approval to his girlfriend's pick for her new date on the island. Soon, Blake and Chelsea hit it off, and the two started spending time together and getting to know each other. Although Chelsea found herself being drawn to Blake, when it was time for her to pick a guy for her third date, she decided to ask out someone else instead of Blake. This move ended up opening a can of worms against Blake.

While Chelsea was on her third date with Tom Triola, she casually asked him what the other guys thought of Blake. Tom instantly revealed that everybody at the villa thought that the 34-year-old dentist was "fake". Chelsea agreed with Tom, and explained that even she was beginning to feel that way. She wasn't convinced that Blake was really what he was portraying himself to be. In her green room interview, Chelsea elaborated that Blake's overly caring nature, and desire to be loved by everybody somehow didn't register as genuine to her.
Later, Chelsea pulled Blake aside to explain to him why she decided to ask Tom out for the third date instead of him. She told him how he didn't come across as genuine, and his whole personality felt fake. Blake took great offense to this remark and began asking her about who put these thoughts in her head. He even questioned Chelsea's judgments for feeling that way about him.
He then begins to ask other guys in the villa if they felt that he was fake. When Chelsea caught wind of what he was doing, she immediately called him out for trying to play her and pointed out how he was exposing himself by showing his true colors. Blake continued to badger Chelsea about who was filling her ears with stuff against him.
Chelsea tried explaining to him that her opinion was based on her own observations and experience with him. But he didn't seem convinced and continued to pester her. She finally snapped and told him off. In his confessional, Blake looked upset over how everybody perceived him as "fake and phony" despite being a genuinely nice guy.
Who is Blake Eyres?
Blake is a self-proclaimed "mouth mechanic" aka dentist. According to the 34-year-old's bio, he isn't your typical dentist, but an adventurous and outdoorsy type of guy. According to Missouri's Fox 2 Now, he grew up in Creve Coeur and attended Parkway North High School before receiving a football scholarship to Truman State University. He graduated with a Bachelor's in biology and went on to attend the UMKC School of Dentistry. Blake seems to be pretty popular and his clients include 'Vanderpump Rules' stars Tom Sandoval and Ariana Madix, according to his Instagram posts.
On the show, he mentioned that his last relationship was almost five years ago. "I plan on winning the women on this island I'm most interested in by just being a great listener, a good communicator, and by just being myself," explained Blake. Blake also seems to be very passionate about the cause of leukemia, as he seems to frequently raise money for Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
In 2016, the star even teamed up with former 'Bachelor' contestant Amber James to raise funds for the organization. In a post, he explained why he is so passionate about leukemia, while revealing that his younger sister was born with it, and survived it. He wrote, "My precious lil sis is now 25 years old, and works a full-time job with other amazing persons with special needs. She is the poster-child of a SURVIVOR and a FIGHTER and she inspires me everyday. Gabbie I love you with all my heart and will always be your favorite older brother!!!!"
