'Teen Wolf' creator CONFESSES the movie is 'Season 7' of the series

Lydia Martin (Holland Roden) is the granddaughter of Lorraine Martin and the daughter of Natalie Martin and Mr Martin. Her parents had had a difficult marriage and are separated. Lydia is close to her mother and stays with her. She goes to Beacon Hills High School and is best friends with Stiles Stilinski, Scott McCall and Malia Tate. She is the first to befriend Allison Argent when the latter moves to the town.

Lydia's character is introduced in the series as a dumb and mean girl, mostly representing a stereotypical rude girl in high school. But through the progress of the show, it is revealed that Lydia is actually smart with a higher IQ and acts as a doltish person to get her way. She intentionally hides her smartness to achieve what she wants. The axis of the character changes when she is bitten by Peter Hale, an Alpha Werewolf. While anyone in that situation would turn a Werewolf themselves, Lydia remains unchanged. Instead, the bite triggered her inner powers of Banshee's abilities. Lydia inherited these powers from her grandmother Lorraine.

Her revelation of the powers is first manipulated by Peter and it took a while for Lydia to get in control and understand the scope and extent of her powers as comparatively her powers are harder to control. And ever since, Lydia's power has only seen massive growth to an extent that her screams have the ability to literally kill. Her powers also include Clairaudience, premonitions (especially of someone's death), and going to a trance-like state to gather and write the information. But being a mortal, Lydia does not possess any healing ability like other Supernaturals.

But, Lydia has grown and transformed so much so that she now helps other victims of the supernatural, just like herself.

'Teen Wolf: The Movie' will be streaming exclusively on Paramount Plus from January 26.
