'Teen Mom: Young and Pregnant': Rachel doubts a future with Drew as a dad while Jacob offers to step up and take his place
Rachel Beaver and her boyfriend, Drew have had their differences when it comes to their baby. While Rachel wants Drew to step up into his role as a father figure it seems like he has still not come to terms with the idea of becoming a father. In the latest episode of 'Teen Mom: Young and Pregnant', Rachel seemed to be concerned about how committed Drew was about becoming a father.
"I am just fed up. I don't even care anymore. If he does come around in her life and jumps out, the first time he jumps out, he will be out. If he is out, he is out for good," Rachel told her friend, Jaden. Rachel further added that the only reason she decided to rekindle her relationship with Drew was because he was the father of her child and that meant he was her family.
"I am trying to do that for her because I want her to have her father in her life but if he comes around and then she gets attached and then he ends up leaving then I am not going to have her sitting there and crying," she said. While Rachel seemed certain that she could also manage to be a single mother without any help from Drew, she gave it a second thought when Jacob decided to meet her.
Jacob and Rachel have been in an on and off the relationship when she wasn't dating Drew. However, it wasn't until recently that Jacob decided to talk to Rachel. Jacob hinted that he was ready to take the role of a father figure for Rachel's daughter.
Rachel reflected that unlike her relationship with Drew, she was more comfortable when she was around Jacob. "You think you want to actually stick around or is it just temporary? " she asked Jacob. He confessed that he wanted to stick around and missed her.
But Rachel was curious about what made Jacob come back in her life as previously he showed no interest in being the father of the child. "If I don't then nobody else is going to," he said. But Jacob wanted to know if things would change if Drew sobered up and tried to come back in their life.
She assured him that even though she would let him meet his daughter she won't allow him to have full custody of her. Jacob remarked that it was a decision she had to make and he wouldn't interfere. While Drew and Rachel's relationship seems to be heading for an end it looks like she has found the person she wants to raise her baby with.
